This would be a big gamble and a very brave decision by the powers that be at celtic.

Martinez is rated very highly by Mr Desmond. I have heard this from a fairly decent source back in Ireland.

Yet he won his first 3 SPL title's.

If you could guarantee that now every single fan would bite your hand off.

any supporter would have beaten the Huns in seasons 1 and 2.

Whilst everybody was laughing at the Huns being skint for the past 2 years (me included)

we the scraped to SPL last year and lost last week to the worst Huns team in 20 years.

I think Martinez is a good manager btw

SWANSEA CITY last night delivered a “hands-off” warning after it emerged Roberto Martinez is a leading target to take over at Wigan and Celtic.
The Swans boss is top of a short-list of potential bosses drawn up by Wigan owner Dave Whelan, whose current manager Steve Bruce is wanted by Sunderland.
It has also been reported in Glasgow that Martinez has been named on a list to succeed Gordon Strachan at Scottish giants Celtic, although Burnley’s Owen Coyle is firm favourite for that position.
The 35-year-old Catalan was immediately installed as the bookmakers’ favourite to take charge at the JJB Stadium following talks between Sunderland and Whelan over Bruce’s availability.
