According to The Sun Celtic want Robbie Keane, but he'd cost 4 million according to them. I would do my own summersaults if the guy joins but I just can't see it happening.

I don't know about Keane now folks.

Unless Hartson and Sutton or jus one of them then i would take him in a second but we have too many strikers at the present time but if we are to get rid of one of the high earners or a few of them then i would Robbie Keane in a flash.

 

ive always felt robbie would play for us i can see it happening but i think it will mean either bbj or sutty will leave

 

It only says that Celtic have always been constantly linked with Robbie-Keane of Spurs and the fee would be £4.million,Well if thats the right fee why not try and Swap Sutton+Thompson for Keane(Robbie),GS has always liked Robbie Keane but once again bhoys+ghirls its up to the Board but if it was me thats what I would do!

 

There's no way Spurs would want Sutton when they already have enough strikers. On Thompson , don't think they would want him either. Better flogging Thommo off to somewhere like Derby and then sell Sutton and hopefully that will free up funds and wages for Robbie Keane.

 

Remember GS signed Robbie when he was manager of Coventry.

id like robbie 2 come here, he's great, i loved seeing him play at park head for jackie's game! seeing him in the hoops would b great 2!! and with keano and lenny! im not sure if it wil happen but it would b gd. i dont no who will b leaving in january but i thank htem in advance for all they have done, and will b glad 2 welcome new players!!! keano1, keano2!

 

Robbie Keane? That would be an excellent signing. Would love to see Robbie sign for Celtic although, I think money and time scouting should be spent on finding defenders before strikers at the moment.

keane is a free transfer in the summer so if we dont get him in jan and he does not sign a new contract at Spurs we can get a Pre-Contract agreement

 

Exactly Rosco. We need to tighten up at the back before we can have the confidence to let players like Robbie steal the show but i would love to see him here! That would make 3 full Irish internationals playing for the first time since 88!

 

Spurs fan here, keane isn't out of contract at the end of the season, he has another 2 years to run. Daniel Levy, Spurs chairman, confirmed at the last AGM that he is contracted until the end of the season & for the following two years.
Keane is happy at Spurs, Jol loves keane. I really can't see anything happening on this front.

I'm also pretty sure he'd cost Celtic more than £4m, Everton had a £5.5m bid turned down in the last window & if he were made available there'd be a whole host of English clubs in for him. But as i say i can't see him leaving.

The Tottenham squad is extremely strong at the moment & i'm not sure any swap deals would happen. Also Spurs are financially very healthy & don't need to sell.

Pedro Mendes was linked & there seemed to be something to that although with Keane having signed it now seems less likely.
Stephen Kelly was also linked but it seems he wants to stay & will sign a new contract.

Kelly is a Celtic fan i think but Keano isn't, he supported Liverpool as a lad.
