I'd like to know when Strachan made up his mind he was going to leave. Looking back on our recent poor form, it seems like there was a weary resignation apparent in the team's performance - especially yesterday. Did the team know? Could it be that Strachan's decision to go may have cost us the league?

pff, trust me we did ourselves no favours throughout the season that cost us the league. However i do agree that recent performances on the pitch would suggest that strachan's decision to leave was known long before today.

If he did inform them weeks ago, it should have acted as a spur to go and win the championship for him.

You've got me wrong mate. I'm a Strachan supporter. I'd be livid if I thought the above was true though.

I herd from a close celtic fc source that gordan decided to go in january thats why the transfer of fletcher fell through because peter lawell wanted gordan to commit himself to celtic before spending 4 million on flectcher. As there was no way of telling the new manager would have fletcher in his plans.

At least the timing of the anouncement gets them off the back page for at least a week.

Cant blame him for going the amount of abuse he took from the fans was disgraceful , the guy done his job well on a shoe string budget and was not allowed the same sort of funds as oniel . yet he done a better job ,

the guy had no respect for the fans, i am glad he has gone. many could have managed the team and got the success he did.
