The board are to blame for this today. We may well go on and win the league, but it won't be our own doing, so the board are to blame imo. We're second best to a club on it's knee's.

They * better hand out cash win or lose the league. They will have every bit as much blame if we conceed this title than strachan or the team, tried to just do enough to edge the title well thats not good enough for Celtic:47:

the giant will be sleeping for a couple of seasons if it goes * up next week

    1 thing

if we get no money when winning titles, you can be sure we will get even less than nothing now

we might even get kirk broadfoot on a free

Lack of investment has cost us the league.

You could even say the result that cost us the League was Kaunas beating Rangers, because thats when the Board pulled any pending Transfer Deals.

    No Investment = Crap team

    Really simple lads.

EVERY season the board try to beat the huns by spending NOTHING. :31:

Same old * from Desmond at Tannadice last season "WE WILL DO EVERYTHING TO STRENGTHEN THE TEAM AND SUPPORT THE MANAGER TO DO THAT" total and utter bullshit :47:

15 million quid CL cash sitting the the bank.

IF the HUns had been a decent side it would have been less painful.

Wont be long before the PR boys from Celtic park rol out the "GET YOUR SEASON TICKETS QUICK AND WE WILL DO EVERYTHING TO STRENGTHEN.............................................................. you know the end part

This is the sacrifice thats made when your trying to run a team the way Celtic is being run.

Hence why no other club takes this policy!

The huns can all but celebrate the SPL trophy now. But heck, we can parade around our balance sheet! :31:

Financially * rangers are now 1 step away from snatching our 4IAR because we didn't invest when we were winning. We will wait until we've * up before the board is coaxed into spending a bit of money. If even! It will be too little to late. Reactive instead of proactive! And thats why we've blown it!

Brian,,if them * in the board room cannot see what we see every week
there's no chance of them listening to us.

they conduct there business on what or how rangers are doing, they got it completely wrong this time

    simple sum

    no investment means no progress,

,,,its as clear as that..i don't give a flying * what anyone says about the money side of Celtic,,Celtic should be streets ahead of anyone in Scotland.

week after week we have been laughing at rangers being skint,on there knees, selling assets, there was even talk of them going out of business

for a team that the world hates,to a hairs breath of champions of Scotland...something is drastically wrong, drastically

Investment in January was poor. We needed a new striker and we all know the other position we need to strengthen.

Remember this though - the guys in charge of celtic are there to make sure the celtic thrives. With the credit cruch i dont think going out and spunking a wad of cash was too sensible. But maybe spending 3m on one player would have perked the whole team up.

the credit crunch eh....how does the credit crunch effect celtic,,,does the ticket prices go down do shirts get cheaper ..celtic still made as much money now as they did before

nothings changed...the credit crunch is/was a get out clause not to buy players or invest in the team with quality players

I know davie, but the credit crunch will effect us next season. More folk wont be able to afford season tickets, traveling, pies and programmes etc. Our revenue will be way down next season whatever i'd say. The board has to take that stuff into account when making budgets.

Before you say it - i know how much not getting into the CL will cost us! Like i said, we could really have done with spending 2-3m on a striker to give us mor eoptions up front. We got a 2m bid for Fletcher knocked back remember.

Hey, we're the best team off the park, let's all celebrate.

Swindon, hide your best players, we're coming to get them.

Fletcher bid was a total somkescreen :bbpd:

we bid (allegedly) on deadline day when we DESPERATELY needed a striker after having sat on their hands for 30 days, knowing that Hibs would reject it.

Smoke and mirrors from Lawell YET AGAIN - TOTAL *
