I dont need to believe you on anything, I seen it myself! :56:

Times have changed since MON aswell

Errr, cant remember the pitch yesterday? Tactics changed during the match yesterday to suit the conditions, maybe you didnt cop that...

Him using a system that you dont like doesnt make it laughable :bbpd:

We played the long ball for as long as Big Vinegar was on the pitch, and it played in to Rangers hands. That's a fact.

    WGS * up yesterday.

Hindsight always shows when a manager * up and using hindsight is too easy but my preference would have been McGeady and a Naylor carrying a knock over the other two gobshites. Whether it would have made a different in the scoreline in Celtic's favour is if's buts and maybes

Also cant blame Strachan for Crosas's * performance

Hindsight is a great thing but in my defence I said I wanted a 4-5-1 before the game so we could play to our strengths. Instead WGS chose to play to their strengths.

He * up yesterday, there is no doubt about that.

    If buts and maybes

Our strength is dominating possession and we did that despite carrying a invisible Crosas. Its a pity Robson wasnt fit

It's all good dominating possession but it's doing something with it that counts. Not the first time that has happened this season either, Inverness away game in January/Februrary springs to mind.

You can have 99% of possession but you've got to make it count.

Rangers let us have possession, that was their gameplan, particularly after they took the lead. We didn't have the bulk of possession because we played so well, because we didn't.

The long ball game was a shocking * up from WGS.

And our strikers didnt do the business, they had chances

The long ball/direct tactic a la MON wasn't a shocking fuckup considering the ball was aquaplaning on the field. Conditions dictated tactics as the match went on too

We had very few chances ! A couple of headers from JVOH and one shot from McGeady. We didn't even supply the strikers with chances as the punts in to the box were so poor.

    a la MON ? :56: Very droll.

We deserved to lose yesterday. No excuses. We shouldn't have went with VoH up front at Mordor or Tannadice or Tynecastle and we shouldn't at Easter Road either.

Maloney shouldn't have played and in hindsight I'm certain Strachan would agree.

Of course they do. But it was the wrong tactic, it suited Rangers, even if the balls in were better.

Even an semi-fit Maloney should have done better against semi-retired Christian Daily FFS. Agrred than McGeady was my choice and was suprised and certainly a big decision that may have caused us the game. McGeady in general is more creative and makes more of an impact cos he can beat players and so full backs are more scared Maloney is better at crossing and finishing but even OAP Christian Daily isn't afraid of Maloney since he ain't gonna try beat him one on one

Fact is, we played the long ball to a striker that cant jump. Bougherra and weir are big lads, Jan was always going to be second best. old players like weir, dailly etc struggle when players run at them or round them. high balls are bread and butter for them. We should have started with mcGeady, end of the day, you shouldnt drop an in form player for a similar player whos been out since december. Mcgeady, for all the slaggin he takes, will run at players and i think dailly would have been a riot if aiden was running at him. weather, suspensions, bla bla bla. we werent good enough on the day, strachan picked the wrong players, used the wrong tactics and some of our players bottled it. simple. the team needs improvement and our mentality of "staying ahead of the huns" looks like its coming back to bite us in the *.

The one thing that Maloney has is pace. He played against a 36 year old. All he had to do was knock it by him and he is away. He looked too scared to get involved in play. He didnt want the responsibility of taking part in the game.

McGeady should have played. He has been playing well over the last few games. Even when he has been playing poorly he has still wanted the ball, something Maloney shyed away from.

Everyone here has harked on about Mcgeady never playing well at ibrox. When has Maloney? When has Naka? Who has played better recently? McGeady! So who should have played? ......

Dropping one player can change the whole game. It changes every opportunity that you get. McGeady done more in his half hour than Maloney done is his hour. And for the guy that said Maloney was up against Davis, he wasnt. Maloney was against Dailly.

After the goal, Rangers went into the mode that got them to a European Final. Whats the most effective method to breakdown 11 men that sit behind the ball? Trying to pass it through them is pointless.

Not being able to give good ball forward is a big problem for direct football, the key is hitting your target man and we werent doing it or the player wasnt good enough. Skippy was a better target man than JVOH and thats a problem
