Martin Scorcese had * all to do with it though thats just a fib at the start.Been trying to find decent foreign films recently, fed up with the same * all the tme and this doesn't disappoint.

Some good choices on here, I will throw my own in.

Wages of Fear - one of the best foreign movies ever made.
Mesrine 1 & 2 - spellbinding performance from Vincent Cassell
The Devils Rejects - extremely violent, and great soundtrack.
Vanishing Point - 1970 road movie
    Stir Crazy- very funny movie.

The Ninth Configuration is one of the greatest films ever made. Its not a sequel to The Exorcist but there are parallels. Several characters are in both movies, the astronaut for example. Also the Exorcism itself is mentioned in the movie. The language used is magnificent and loads of quotable lines in it.The bar scene alone is cinema gold. William Peter Blatty is a very interesting authoer and his books are very thought provoking, particularly Legion.

Yep, one of the scariest films I've ever seen.

It's the gritty realism of it. It has nothing 'Hollywood' about it at all; all the characters and locations are easy to identify with. The tension is almost unbearable, too.

Hail Hail (For Its a grand old team) - How could it be any other?!?
Heaps of Aussie films that are fantastic that may not be that well known around the world -
Numero Uno - The Castle staring Michael Caton, Stephen Curry and a lil aussie actor who you may know - Eric Bana. So this film is about a family living in Coolaroo, Melbourne (yes this is actually a real suburb, not as weird as Wagga Wagga or Woolloomooloo) Next to the Airport (actually filmed around the corner from my house ;P, sorry all this pointless trivia is starting to annoy me too) So pretty much this family are being kicked out of their house by the government and the just dont like it - great flick!

Numero..Two (bit of a mean machine reference there)

Chopper - Tells a true story of notorious Melbourne criminal by the name of Mark "Chopper" Read. wont kill the story line, but its fair to say he is one hard, hard man! Staring Eric Bana as Chopper and Vince Coloismo (No relation to the Australian footballer Simon Colosimo) as Neville * Bartos!
