Thoughts on whether or not McGeady will fill the hype about him and become the Henrik of Celtic moving forward or will be another Liam Miller or Mark Burchill?

    Liam Burchill for sure:icon_mrgreen:

No seriously, I hope he moves and somehow becomes a better player. He certainly has the skill to beat a man. He wont leave here as a legend though lol.

Duff was amazing for Ireland though playing through the middle during a World Cup.

made the team of the world cup that year and stayed on with blackburn for the following season.

started every game on the wing, though he did roam a fair bit

we are going to have to rely on him to really shine for us to get to S.A.

hopefully we can both get there ,its been a while since the irish and the scots were at a tournament together :50:

Would be great for us both to get to a Tournament at the same time :50:

Hes also 22 not 24 he wont even be 24 at the World Cup!

He is also well past the stage of being a Burchill, Donnelly, Burke, Adam, Miller(Charlie and Liam), Steven Smith and so on as he's become Player of the Year a first team starter for years on end, won the League constantly aswell as cups and all that stuff. 20+ International caps.

He's no McStay though. McGeady has so much to learn and I'd rather for his own good and mine as a fan of Celtic that he moved on to better things.

He maybe not be a McStay but we'll find out. McStay hadn't won as much by 22 despite being a fantastic player im sure McStay would have liked being half as good but won twice as more.

I personally think he will have to move to become truly magnificant and then return. I read Bayern Munich are after him? I think he will need to improve his shot before anything else. If only he had a rocket of a shot !!! He would be fantastic

Somewhere in between he'll never be as good as Henrik but is already better than the likes of Burchill and Millar

He is a far better player than the 2 mentioned ,and he is respected by his oppenents ,he has 2-3 players on him when he has the ball ,thats respect ,i wouldnt pin him down to a position ,i think he could do a lot more damage in a free role, running at defenders from every angle would put the frightners on most central defenders and would make mcgeady a better and more affective player.

You'd rather see McGeady realising his potential at some other club rather than Celtic? Your not bitter at all, why don't you just go the whole hog and start booing him every time he gets the ball like every other set of fans in Scotland?

He's already miles better than Miller and Burchill.

I think he'll develop into the role he was given in the cup final, roaming in behind the striker where he can find space for himself and cause the most damage.
