I just can't help but think he has really went and done it this time...I think once Fabianski gets back from injury and Zaluska comes to parkhead Boruc could really struggle to get a game for club and country. I love the big man, but he can't continue to let us down like this. I don't doubt that he has had his personal problems over the past year, but i think there is an element of disrespect in his behavior. I might just be talking out of my * but I get the impression he is bored in Scotland and thinks he is too good to be playing for Celtic, after all, he's sold the jerseys how many times this season and we still can't drop him!!

I now really believe that we'll sell him in the summer. Smuggling his bird into the team hotel? She must be some ride if he can't go without for a * week. He needs to start thinking with his head and not his *.

The club and manager must be privately sick of all this * and he'll be gone at the end of this season for a knockdown price of around 3 mill.

We have his replacement lined up already.

Remember the day he pulled off his shirt to reveal the pope t shirt? I truly believe that he thought he'd played his last game for the club and that somebody big was coming in for him...............as we all know that move didn't materialise and he hasn't been very consistant since :54:

    Form is temporary....class is permanent.

Just because he's had a poor season(and he has) doesn't mean he is suddenly an average or bad goalkeeper. If some people want to write him off and say he's finished or he's not the keeper he was then that's up to them. I'm sticking by him because I know he's still a world class goalkeeper when his head is screwed on and I believe he can rekindle his past form. * bless the Holy Goalie! :icon_mrgreen:

McGregor did the same thing against Falkirk on the opening day of the season, luckily for him the ball went wide, where was his criticism?

The scottish media hate Artur because he does not take * from the huns or the scottish media in this country, he doesn't tow the line, set by them, like most other players who have faced the huns bile in the past. His initial crime was to bless himself remember. This wouldn't even be noticed in any other country in the world. The media crucified him for havin a beer with his girlfriend back in poland at the cinema whilst he was recovering from injury, big deal. Did the polish players not have Thursday night off? The media in this country hate us, especially the ones of us who stand up to them, Neil Lennon anyone. Look at the job they have done on Aiden for choosing Eire, he is booed at every ground he plays and there is barely a word said. Almost reminds you of the 80 years the huns refused to play RCs but did you hear or read a word of condemnation from the Scottish media. NO.
They are doing a right good job on Artur and now have some of our own on his back.:31:

Which is hardly ever these days, any other player who acted so unprofessionally would be slated. Artur Boruc is not special, and has to abide by the same rules as the rest of the squad. He has been rightly dropped by his country, and IMO if we had better back-up than Brown, wouldve been dropped by now for club aswell.

Top post mjam! Last thing Boruc needs is the celtic support crucifying him also. But i do agree he has to be the bigger man & put this silly nonsense behind him.

That's unfair. Artur has been doing fine the last 2-3 months. He hasn't been back at his very best but he hasn't done much, if anything, wrong either.

I do not in any way dispute that Artur's level of professionalism has slipped this season but he has had his problems off field and should be afforded some understanding. If he stays with us next season and makes all the same mistakes again then, and only then, will I review my opinion of him. Seems to me there are a few people who have very quickly forgotten just how good he has been for us these past 3 years. Not me.

I think you are spot on there, he did get dropped a fews time this year with sore toes and that, If we still had Marshall, it would be a different story. Boruc would still be on the bench. lets see what happens next year

I have a lot of sympathy with him for all of the above but this is highlighting all the personal stuff. I am not saying that personal stuff doesn't affect him or impact on his performance but he has to find a way of setting it aside. Difficult I know as by all accounts his personal life is also said to be in a mess

As a celtic supporter and season ticket holder I just want him to be more professional about his job............he's employed by the club to do a job and when called on by Poland they expect the same. Being Professional means sticking to the same rules of discipline as everyone else in the team. When things outside of you job start to impact on your performance you can't give 100%. I think this is why he's been slipping up in recent times. I agree that you can't lose what you have overnight and that he will come good but if he doesn't get his head screwed on soon he's going to blow it :54:

80% of those who are angry with Aidan havent a bigoted bone in their body, many from smaller teams with no history of religion based issues. If one of a country's best players shuns his own country then his fellow countrymen are going to be * off especially in a country where football is the biggest sport by miles. It doesnt help that he has come across as a bit of an spoiled, huffy ego in the last year especially. Truth is he will be booed till he retires and the better he gets the worse it will become.

I understand those who boo. I never thought I would see the day when a Scotsman turned down the chance to follow in the footsteps of Bremner, Dalgliesh, Jordan, Law, Baxter, Caesar, etc etc. Almost all of the top Scottish players with Irish links have stuck by their own country over the roots thing. Guys like Brember, Jordan, Caesar, Frankie and Eddie Gray, Jinky, Alan Brazil, Nicholas, McAvenny, Roy Airken, John Collins, Mo Johnston, Rambo, McStay, you name them - there are dozens if not 100s, had Irish blood but they did stick by their own country. I do not see why Aidan is so different he had to break the norm.

It also annoys me because it just plays into the bigots hands who want to treat tims as outsiders or not loyal to Scotland etc. Its pretty hard to counter than when someone goes off and does that.

we're getting off track here but for what it's worth the Scotland setup refused to give Aiden his chance and the Irish were there to pick up the pieces. In fairness the Irish setup that he was involved in as a boy helped make him the player he is today. Therefore we need to stop bleating about the fact he now plays for Ireland.
