    Ideally i'd rather see us getting access to the championship down south, or even league one. Am not convinced a season long Euro league would be successful for reasons already mentioned in this thread (the traveling, the 'magic' of the Champions League disappearing etc.).

    There has to be some other way of making the game more competitive and protected against all these tycoons buying over clubs and ruining the game, and that is introducing salary and transfer fee caps. The way the game is set-up the now is fine, apart from maybe not being able to have summer football due to the World Cups and Euro's, but that isn't goanny get solved by introducing a Euro league either.

    see now the more i think about this the more i wander? the big countries will want all of their top teams in this set up before everyone else would get in wouldnt they?...and to me this actually sounds *! cos that is what will happen now that i think about it .:31:

    ave to agree mate, cant see the premier league just letting the top 4 or 6 teams leave, without them the rest are * id say. what ever happened the atlantic league? was that its name? spl, holland, portugal etc were supposed to do sommit.

    It's supposed to be the replacement for the Champions League and Europa Cup. So the CL wouldn't be redundant it simply wouldn't exist!

    do you think this is just a smokesscreen to try and help our friends over at castle greyskull, if this was to happen would keep them afloat , it been blown out so many times before, cant see it happening .

    I would cry with happiness if this happened.

    Just another thing on the cost of travelling to away matches surely Celtic and the other clubs would contribute to fans away trips especially with the amount of extra revenue it would generate.
