i totally believe it, and especially believe that children are more open to these experiences as they dont have cynicism. i did it when i was little, i used to tell my mum i had been upstairs picking videos out with my gran, who died 6 weeks after i was born, my brother used to talk to people all the time, my dad died when i was 18 and i swear i have seen him once, and i have the freakiest dreams that really couldnt be explained by anything other than something supernatural. as far as children are concerned they usually stop being so perceptive when they reach about 5 or 6.

I opened the paper today to read "you will be met by a chainsaw-wielding goblin"

I must stop reading the horrorscopes!

Personally I think the paranormal is mince. I like the thought of it, something outwith the realms of our existence, but there is no scientific proof. None whatsoever.

The famous skeptic James Randi offers a cheque for a million dollars to anyone who can prove to have supernatural abilities, and nobody has been able to do this in about 30 years since he started offering the reward.

What the Bhoy Malone says has something in it. No joke when it happens in the family. Creppy - and plausible too, says me the doubter who has had his eyes opened regarding this type of thing.

Kids are more connected to the "spirit realm" because they aren't as accustomed to the physical world as adults and apparently lost souls/spirits tend to linger around them for that reason.

im a firm believer, i love all this!! Apparently kids are more open minded and innocent than adults so its easier for them to see things like this....or so some believe!!

There is nothing to worry about here. this happens to lots of children, because their minds are uncluttered they are susceptible to taking in things that adults can't.

Most people will say rubbish to all stuff like this, and who can blame them when they have never experienced it.
I used to frighten the life out of my mother with stuff that I came out with when young, and it would freak her out no end as to how I new about the things I was saying.
Wether good or bad it has stayed with me all through my life, with the worst experience I ever had going on at present. But there is nothing you can do to stop things happening, you just have to get on with life.
By the way I am not religious, I do not believe in * or any of that stuff.

Sounds like a right morbid wee bassa!! :56:

In all seriousness, I somrtimes think that kids like him, suss out if they spout pish like that they'll get attention & adults will think they're "special".

It's sometimes quite cool to hear the stuff they come out with though, my nephew is pretty devout & holier than though, we were at a beutiful campsite in Spain & were watching a sunset, he said it was "like *'s breath".

He used to see things etc... same as your nephew, I just think he's especially sensitive, but has been kinda encouraged by his parents to spout pish! :56:

Three weeks ago, a family member died, the next night my 3 year old was talking away in his room so i went through to see if he was alright and he told me the person in question had said goodbye and was going away.

I pm'd TBM earlier about something very very similar actually. Again - no way the kid could have known. Be sceptical if youse like - I was for long enough too - but again no other resonable explanation has been put forward. I prefer to keep an open mind now.

I never really had a strong view on this one way or another.

But then when my girlfriend told me what happened with her when she was a kid changed my views to strong belief. When she was 3/4ish, out of the blue she started talking about "The wee children are hungry!" to her mum. She'd have really bad dreams and wake up crying and screaming about this other wee girl that didn't have any food.

One time she talked about all the people in some part of Ireland that that couldn't find any food and they needed help. She named a particular place (I can't remember where exactly) and her parents recognised the name of the place, and it turned out this was one of the worst places to be affected by The Famine. She didn't speak of it again for aout a month, and her parents were freaked out but thought she was over it. Then out of the blue again she just said, "They're all dead now mummy." And that was the last she spoke of it.

This is all according to her mum and dad and she can't remember anything of it herself. She had no way of knowing about the famine at that age so all this was just out of her mind, not something she had seen on TV and was talking about. All very strange...

i believe, i have seen a ghost/spirt with my own eyes.
also i have witnessed a strange occurrence in beechmount, belfast many years ago where a house was being trashed and a family being tortured by a poltergeist for many days. at some stages their was crowds of up to a hundred people outside this house most praying and some like me just being nosey
priests were regular vistitors along with some local media.
iknew one of the priests involed and also went on to get to know one of the family members involed.
a book was published on the subject but is very scarce, it was a localy produced book and very few copies surived.
the house was 91 beechmount something cant remember the last part of street name.
falls road libary has a long waiting list for this book, a year long the last time i heard.
the catholic chruch has long since denided this ever happend.
