  1. I know it's a pipe dream but I can only see Rodgers being given a decent budget since we're paying him a mint.

Denayer didn't play much this season in Turkey, hopefully he would value the chance of returning.

Elyounoussi we've been heavily linked with and saw the damage he can do first hand. His contract runs out in 18 months time.

Snodgrass we've been linked to in the past too and is apparently a celtic fan. Contract runs out next year.

Harnik is on a free and stuttgart got relegated. I doubt he'll stay. I doubt he'll get a good an offer than from celtic (well, not in my eyes anyway).

Fletcher won't get a better deal than with us. His time in France has hardly been inspiring. Would be a better 'different' option than Cole or Ciftci, who are supposed to play that role for us currently. On a free too.

Kramaric or Baston. Both linked in the past, if I recall correctly. Would have to pay a bit but we need to to get a decent striker. Kramaric has two more years at Leicester but I doubt will get a look in again. Baston only has a year left. I can only see them strengthening again up to top in the summer. I don't know if he'll play a part if he stays or if he'll be moved out on loan again and let his contract run out. Makes more sense to sell now.

  2. CB - Skirtel. He's left Liverpool, looking for a Club. Big ugly, no messing, CB and BR knows him well.

  3. Joe Allen and Steve Caulker would be big signings for us. Caulker will be back to QPR and Joe Allen has a year to run on his deal.

On paper you'd say there'd be no chance getting either, but two big signings could make a huge difference to the team.

  4. Would love Skrtel here, no nonsense centre half who would dominated up here, was very well liked by Rodgers too. I doubt we could afford the wages though.

  5. If we were to make two big signings I don't want them to be a 'normal' midfielder and a centre half.

We are in need of a * of a midfielder, someone to shield the defence and bully players. After that, another winger and a striker.

Then we can think about a centre half.

  6. Jonathan de Guzman, Nathan Dyer

  7. Not according to Izzy

  8. Jordan Larsson? Is it time for him yet?

  9. I thought I read something saying that, but searching again, I couldn't find it.

I'd deffo keep him for another year and let him walk next summer. He's been a terrific servant.

  10. Would love Flanagan,think he'd thrive here!!

  11. Scott sinclair from villa for left mid , played well for rodgers at swansea and would score plenty a goals up here

  12. Skrtel signed a new deal last Summer, I think and will be on pretty big money. Around £75,000 I think. He's contracted to Liverpool for another two years, I think.

Another on big money. About £50k a week at City. Took a pay cut to join Villa, but would need to take another to sign for Celtic.

  13. Caulker is rank rotten, big utter diddy of a player and has no pace at all. One of Rodgers worst ever singings and surely seeing him at training would have shown him that.

Good suggestion :50: never really kicked on from when he broke through 2/3 years ago because of injury, Irish name so possibly of Irish descent and maybe a tim, very solid player similar to Tierney and can play both sides, his best spell for them was probably on the left too although Liverpool might want to keep him as he did look good for them and only really not played from injuries.

  14. Flanagan is on a long term contract, he's just been struggling with knee injuries.

Klopp likes him by all accounts, played a game as captain at the tail end of the season.

  15. Just Kieran -

"Skrtel signed a new deal last Summer, I think and will be on pretty big money. Around £75,000 I think. He's contracted to Liverpool for another two years, I think."

Skirtel's finished at Liverpool. Played his last match vs West Brom just before Sevilla game. Now out of contract. Turkish Clubs are interested in him.

  16. Biggest gripe about looking at guys like John Mcginn is that we have experimented with Scottish teams' top guys recently and I'm not sure it would work out to how we would think. Mcginn seems like a solid ball winning midfielder with a motor, but with Rodgers here should we not aiming higher than championship Hibernian's star midfielder? Britton, Allen, Barry Bannan... all with massive levels of experience and a proven track record. I am however a pretty big hypocrite considering I've wanted Cummings for awhile... Difference for me is that he's scoring big goals in every big games he plays in consistently.

  17. Jason Cummings, as I said above. :icon_mrgreen: Scores a big goal in every big game. Confident and has swagger and a set, something our team has desperately lacked. Not a finished product, and would be a decent project to take on, who could still be a solid striker option to come off the bench or play along side Griff.

  18. A pretty big hypocrite indeed.

Cummings is nowhere near good enough.

  19. Stokes is a far better player than cummings.

I know people are mentioning snodgrass and johnny russell but im hoping rodgers is casting the net a little further.
