[No Link] Stephen McManus

On Radio Clyde the other night, Jim Delahunt & co. were discussing a rumour they had heard that Celtic are going to make a move to bring Stephen McManus back in January.

I don't know where they'd heard this rumour but they did discuss it on air so I thought I'd post it up.

Personally I am not excited at the prospect of that move. Signing Stephen McManus is not going to solve our defensive problems. I'd rather see Thomas Rogne given a run in the team than waste money bringing McManus back.

 

I wouldn't be opposed to the move, although I do worry about his lack of pace, etc. He might give our defence a bit more stability, however.

There's a reason he had to move on. Never bring back the same players especially when they were not good enough.

 

better than what we've got but still, if were only going to be bringing in one centre half a hope it's a lot more quality than mcmanus

 

we have enough left footers at CB no thanks good tic man............not good enough would like to sign somebody bigger, stronger and faster to play alongside chic mulgrew

 

McManus stays like one of the best centre back of the last ten years but, if he comes back, what will the future of O'Dea, Rogne, Thompson or Wilson ?

In my opinion, there is too much same level players in this list and it will be a big headache for Lennon in the coming months to choose who must stay at the club or not

iagree with calwel over mcmanus however the problem is our side is full over "less than 1 mil players" in the sense that they simply are medioacre

He will give his all for the club, which is needed, always. He bled for the badge, literally.
