Scotland

Some cracking photos lads. If ever up Aberdeen way, a great drive is out to Ballater (Royal deeside,) then take the Ballater pass, up in to the hills past the lecht, and through to Grantown. * stunning part of the country.

 

I would probably visit the North West of the country for scenery. Especially the Isle of Harris. Here are some pictures from the North West overall.

In the right places Scotland is a beautiful country. Love the place. Wouldn't travel over from the states about 10 times a year if I didn't!

That is really not the case. Foreigners tend to go visit Scotland for its wee bit hill and glen. Of course they visit Edinburgh (only the tourist area) as well. Some football fans will go to Glasgow, but they will stay away from the real dodgy areas.

I think few tourists associate Scotland with booze (except whisky, but the association is a good one), junkies and housing schemes. Even after seeing Trainspotting I did not associate Scotland with drugs.

 

There are beautiful parts to most countries i suppose, but i do enjoy Scotlands scenery.

Living in Edinburgh, where we have a couple of smallish mountains right in the middle of the city, i never have to go far to enjoy the view.
Even going down the East coast to Berwick i love the scenery.....and yet it is a bland picture compared to the Firth of Clyde!

It is easy to take things for granted, but i do try and take it all in when i can.
