  1. What a glorious food pizza is.

What toppings do you have on yours?

What's the best pizza you've had?

  2. Was in France once and my pizza came with a fried egg in the middle of the top, marginally more disgusting than pineapple on it

  3. Generally prefer a proper italian stone baked pizza but my local kebab shop does a proper grubby but delicious one stacked with the most cheese you'll ever see on a pizza.
Ham, Pepperoni, Mushroom with garlic dip = supreme

  4. I like pineapple on pizza but wouldn't be keen on egg.

  5. Think it’s Bier Halle that do or used to do a black pudding pizza with an egg on it.

    Dynamite.

  6. Kinda ruined pizza for myself by going to New York last year, the standard corner shop dollar slices are so much better than the majority of the stuff you'd get here, thin crispy base makes all the difference!

If I was out & going for a sitdown pizza I'd keep it simple with pepperoni, nduja & a chilli pepper shake for a kick if they have it.

Takeaway like apache used to always get pepperoni, cajun chicken & jalapenos.

  7. Some amazing places have popped up round the city.

Caesar’s Social, Franks, Errol’s Hot Pizza, Sano.

None of your Paesano pish. More overrated place going.

  8. Heard a lot of people say Paesano's is slop. Haven't been myself. Down here I love Firezza. Traditional Neapolitan style pizzas.

    Not for me pizza

  9. We had an Italian restaurant here which shut down a few months back done a Mafiosa pizza with an egg in middle

No ma style but the father in law loved it

I like a seafood thin crust which I order most of the time.

  10. Aye mate defo. It was the first really popular or “viral” pizza place. But it is bog standard. The taste is decent. I’ve not been for years but my Mrs went to the new Southside one on Friday and said it was soggy.

I get pure wound up at how popular it still is, because there are far better places.

  11. Love pizza. Like to keep it simple though.....little chilli, fire on some meatball and chorizo and I'm happy. Even just a good margarita is amazing.

They opened a fireaway downstairs from me. Fresh dough, stone baked oven done in 3 mins.

Don't like dominoes and all that * really though. A proper Italian pizza is the best.

  12. Theres a place in Dublin called Bambino that always has a line around the corner because of how much they paid internet influencers to advertise the life out of them, I thought it was gona be through the roof amazing but its only alright.

  13. That’s basically it, decent marketing over actual quality. Fair play to them.

  14. Exactly!

If I was the recommend a place in town for a slice it'd be here:

  15. Love a pizza. Wouldn't pay the money for a dominos or pizza hut, much better value at the indians. Pepperoni, chicken tikka, spicy lamb ...

Iceland stuffed crust frozen pizza is the best you'll get from a freezer.

Never really tried one of these proper pizza places tbh but did get one from a local Italian place and it was decent, very thin, crispy base.

  16. Paessano is totally overrated imo.
I'd rather have a Domino oh ho

  17. There’s a “By the Slice” place called Sear’s in the West End I want to try.

  18. Follow the NY style pizza recipe from Babish and it gets darn close to it! I do mine in a standard oven, just crank the heat right up, use a pizza stone if you can (touch of oil to coat it) and whack it in there. Superb stuff.
I guess if you use a pizza ovem (ooni?) you may get even better results, but not completely needed.

As for toppings, I like to keep it mostly simple these days. Pepperoni or a chorizo/salami topping is enough.

Tried a tuna pizza when in Spain one year, wasn't as bad as it first sounds.

Ham pizza from the chippy or a Kebab and Spicy Chicken pizza from the local Indians is always a win. But you gotta make sure the place you go to has decent kebab meat and they do the spicy chicken that has a bit of a sauce to it (not just the dried red chicken).
