According to exclusive information from Africafoot , Celtic Glasgow, in search of a center-back, has made contact with the Malian international winger Oumar Traoré , alias "N'diefi", who has been playing for Al Jazira for several seasons. However, the Scottish club would have to pay around 3 million euros to convince its Emirati counterpart to offer it the player's services.

Under contract until June 30, 2027 with Al Jazira, Oumar Traoré, considered one of the best players in his position in the UAE Pro League for years, is expected to join Europe this summer, if an agreement is reached in the coming days with Celtic Glasgow, Scottish champion and qualified for the UEFA Champions League.


While the Scots have no problem meeting the 23-year-old's release clause, they will also need to secure his salary, which is estimated at around €1.5 million (975,000,000 FCFA). Negotiations are progressing well, and Oumar Traoré could soon be moving to Celtic Glasgow after five seasons at the Emirates.

2020/21 UAE Pro League champion, UAE Super Cup winner and 2024/25 UAE League Cup winner, Oumar Traoré has made 140 appearances for Al Jazira, scoring 24 goals and providing 19 assists.

On the one hand, African media isnt reliable at all, they had us signing Amartey multiple times.

On the other hand, he seems a bit too random a name to be linked to us if nothing is in it.

Looks like he can play both LW and RW, but he does mostly play on the right.

Stats arent great, but neither were Orjasaeter's and I would have loved him here.

Well the price seems about right for us so could be something in this

 

Hard to tell if he's any good as those defences are toilet. Does look ok..

 

Level of that league isn’t exactly great and he only scored 3 goals in it last season… Would be a back up project signing surely.
