Hopefully Rodgers has noticed how * pathetic our team have been in one on one physical battles.

 

I fully agree mate, it’s something I think we’ve needed for ages and was the best thing about the idea of McGinn for me (closest mentality I’ve seen to Broony there) but I mean, it’s no Brendan’s style is it?

 

Aye, pretty footballs all well and good but sometimes you just need a Barry Robson elbow to the back of the head.

 

That’s the exact reason I wanted McGinn too, it wasn’t for his passing ability or technical abilities. It was for his aggression and ability to grab the team by scruff of the neck.
As far as I’m concerned then Mulumbu is a better choice in that aspect, only thing is he’s older. We need more dig and fight in this team, hopefully we’re getting it now.

I actually rate Mulumbu. We miss Brown when he is out and Mulumbu could be a great option there.

Celtic are set to sign former Kilmarnock midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.

The 31-year-old, who is a free agent, is poised to become the Scottish champions' fifth signing of the summer.

Brendan Rodgers had been looking to add to his midfield after he missed out on John McGinn whilst Stuart Armstrong left to join Southampton earlier in the summer.

STV understands the player flew into Scotland today and was shown around Celtic Park as he puts the finishing touches on his move.

Mulumbu impressed during a short stint with Kilmarnock last season, scoring against Celtic at Rugby Park in February, but left the club at the end of his contract.

 

Better than mcginn although short term due to age but exactly what we need. He could walk into the team Sunday and bully the huns
