Being an Arsenal fan aswell as a Celtic, have to wonder, will Arteta be able to replace Cesc? what do yous think? :celt_2:

  2. Great player under rated by many hope he does well even at Arsenal one of the few ex Huns who are decent guys and i would like to see do well even at Arsenal.

About him replacing Cesc no that will come down to jack wilshere.

Still i think Wenger * up big time by letting his pride get in the way from selling both players early in the window and Arsenal poor start to season all comes down to him and his pride.

I never thought he was that good and R***ers, but in the EPL he has always stood out to me, deserves a shot at a bigger team, hoping he can do it for Arsenal.

    Wilshire is Fabs successor imo.

Its Wengers fault for not buying quicker but its not his fault for selling. Its not his fault Cesc wanted to go home and Nasri wanted the money. If a player wants to leave there is nothing you can do. If Hooper for example wanted to leave in January and Celtic sell him, it wouldnt be Neils fault.

I wish he would sign for Athletic :54:

  7. Arteta is a good player, but he's not in Cesc's league in my opinion. I thought they should have concentrated on strengthening in more important areas ie two top quality centre backs and played Aaron Ramsey where Arteta will play. Between Wilshere and Ramsey, Cesc's contribution to the team will be replaced, I don't usually buy into a lot of the EPL hype machine, but I think these two are real stars in the making.

    How I think they'll go:

    Song Wilshere
    Walcott Arteta Gervinho
    Van Persie

How I think they should have went:

    Song Wilshere
    Walcott Ramsey Gervinho
    Van Persie

  8. I think they should go

    Song
    Ramsey Wilshere
    Arteta
    Van Persie Gervinho

Change their style since Walcott is * and Arshavin never kicks a ball.

Arteta is a decent player but not that good, I mind the "Ladyboy" used to be * at the huns, he got a lot better since but even Spanish midfielders theres still a lot better Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Thiago, Herrera, Martinez. shouldnt really be at Arsenal but they are desperate and he'll do ok.

Benayoun is actually maybe better than him.

  9. * I forgot they signed Yossi too, I'd have him in instead of Walcott.

No one plays 4-4-2 diamond anymore, I'd be flabbergasted if they went with that. I'd be shocked if they went two up top full stop.

I agree with you other than that though.

A very good and very under the radar player over the last few years in the epl. As good as Fabregas no but a good pick up in the short term and should fit right in with the way Arsenal like to pass the ball.

They will miss Nasri far more imo. Cesc stagnated, he wanted to be elsewhere and he is performing better when he isn't the main jewel in the crown.

  13. I have a massive soft spot for Arsenal too.:icon_mrgreen:

He won't be able to replaces Cesc in my opinion.

    I would play.

    .............................Szcz?sny..............................

    Sagna........Vermaelen.....Mertesacker........Santos

    ....................Song.............Wilshere...................

    ....Walcott...............Arteta................Ramsey....

    ............................van Persie..........................

It would be very unfair to drop Walcott or Ramsey for Benayoun in my opinion.

Benayoun, Gervinho, Emmanuel Frimpong. Andrei Arshavin and Park Chu-Young. Will give Arsenal a very strong bench.

Hes not as good as cesc but he will thrive being at arsenal and will no doubt improve.
Yossi's a brilliant buy btw, arsenal need some fight in them and hes got plenty of it, opposite to that wee * arshavin.

  15. I used to love Arshavin. But I have lost all respect for him.

he's not cesc, but that's tantamount to saying he's not the best or second best CM in Britain. He's a very very good player.

Never thought he was a great player to be honest.

He is neat and tidy and has a good strike on him, but not in the same league as Fabregas.
