Last defender we signed from Groningen turned out alright. If we can get a good option to buy after the loan, I would be all for this. Year loan with £4m option to buy. I’d be happy with that.

 

A quick look at the eredivise table last year, only Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord had better defensive records than Groningen. They also finished 7th which is a good finish for them.
