Ki

  1. Neil Lennon deserves credit.

  2. Good riddance, I say.

  3. Thought ki was very competent hardly lost possession but there was something missing just didn't have the drive' felt he weakened the midfield not by being a bad player but by not being a strong enough link, felt him being in the side especially round december time 2010 dropped us points.

  4. Pointless "I told you so" bump. We may have done even better with Ki in the team, who knows now as it never happened. He's gone, we got good money, just let it go.

  5. Not pointless at all. I think it shows the depth of the team, and totally justifies Lennons faith in the players that want to play for the club. Ki was never fully committed in my opinion. Too full of his self imposed "Gerrard" love in.

And we wouldnt have played better with him in the side, the team last night was exceptional. Ki wouldnt have got on the bench.

    But yeah, great business.

  6. I don't think we miss him at all, being totally honest. We are still banging in goals, keeping clean sheets (domestically at least) and have a plethora of talented midfielders still to choose from.

  7. :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy

  8. This was always going to be a backs to the wall defensive display so kayal/wanyama/ledley would always get picked before him, not sure there's need to bring him up today really.

Still think he would have been a useful option in more open games against Benfica and Spartak, but it's all ifs and buts at this stage.

  9. Yep. And we're a lot better off financially as a result of selling him.

  10. He would struggle to get in the team now anyway.

  11. I also never doubted his qualities, my main issue with him was that he was kind of, well a coward maybe a bit harsh, but you didn't really see him impose himself on games and try and take control, despite obviously having all the tools needed to do so. It was more of an attitude issue than a football skills issue. I don't miss him at all.

  12. No doubt he would struggle to get in the team now but the above is spot on.

  13. We're lacking an advanced playmaker who can play behind Hooper in Europe. When Samaras went off injured yesterday, we had Brown playing as the second striker.

  14. Vastly over rated by many and we don't miss him 1 bit.

Also, I would never suggest for a second he is the sole reason, but his introduction into the Swansea side has coincided with a complete loss of form.

Beat off; Villa, Everton and Stoke, drew with Reading and just beat Wigan at the weekend. Previous to this they had beat; Liverpool, QPR and West Ham.

    Yes. :50:

  15. that's the position that he used to play for hibs and it suits him well. would far rather have Brown there than ki

  16. if we're looking for that player in behind the forwards to be a playmaker then it doesnt suit brown at all really

  17. Have you watched Swansea at all? If you had, you'd notice than Ki has been a complete hit. Pundits have noticed it, commentators have noticed it, and from a brief visit to a couple of Swansea forums, the fans have noticed it.

But no, you're probably right - it's Ki fault that Swansea aren't doing too well at the moment.

    Unreal :56:

  18. If your suggesting ki would be better there then your wrong for Swansea and his national team he plays as a deep midfielder and he is at his best there

It doesn't suit ki either just look at where he plays for Swansea and south Korea
