Ki

  1. Never been a fan. Wouldn't be sad too see him go if it meant we could hold onto the likes of Ledley, Hooper, Kayal, Matthews etc.

  2. I think ki is away, his official FB page half written in korean with few english posts updated saying " to the next Stage of my life.."

  3. What's his facebook page?

  4. I would be a bit disappointed if he left. Still has a lot of potential. But I think that is the thing that disappoints me most.
At the start of this season he really looked like he was going to step up and be the player he was supposed to be after all the hype. Thought he was outstanding in a good few games at the start of the season, and against Udinese at CP.

Pity it hasn't worked out to plan, and good luck to him.

  5. this is what upsets me the most, is seeing him have a brilliant start to season, banging in goals etc... then gets called up by South Korea and gets this mystery illness that took them forever to work out and through no fault of his own while he was doing that other players also stepped up and by the time he was back he was used very sparingly which really couldn't be helped as it would have been unfair to break up a winning team but if it weren't for him being so important for his country he would have been in that midfield in the first place.

if goes i really really hope he proves his doubters wrong on every level and shows them what he can do.

  6. I'd be sad to see him go. I think he's a season away from being a seriously great player. In glimpses he's our best and most skilful central midfielder.

  7. I think if we do sell him, we should put a clause on the deal saying we get some of his next sale because I can see him becoming a great player. He just isn't suited to our league and isn't as effective in a 2 man middle pairing as a 3 man trio and we tend to play 4-4-2.

  8. I'ld sell him, good player but i don't think we need him.

Anyone think we missed him last night?

    Me neither.

  10. Talk to me after the two games against Spartak and Benfica.

He's been one of Swansea's better players this season, by the way.

  11. Bit random...

    No.

Strange bump though. He's been playing well for Swansea.

  13. Definitely. It would have been us with 80% of the possession if he'd been playing. :86:

Brought it up as there were a lot of fans who felt he was a vital player for us in the centre of the park, and that midfield was weaker without him. I wouldnt have played him ahead of any player in the side last night.

Players last night did us proud. When Ki was here, Scott Brown got stick from a few people who felt Ki was the better option, Im glad that Lennon has shown faith in Broony, and he is now the one player who is vital for us with his energy and drive.

He may be doing ok at Swansea, but its a step down. Good luck to him. What a deal we got.

Still, a strange time for an 'I told you so'. He has impressed so far at Swansea. He got his move to a better league, it was a step down but if he plays well down there now, then the bigger clubs are more likely to take note. Wanyama, Kayal and Ledley are all players that can be considered better than Ki - although Ki is a totally different option and I still maintain that he's a good player.

Nah, I dont think so. There was such a love in for him from some people who felt he was a lot better than he was. We did great business with him, I think the fact that we are doing well in Europe means that clubs are more likely to take a look at Vic, Kayal, Ledley etc, rather than what Ki is doing in lower half of the league side in EPL.

And never doubted he is a good player, just not the wonder that some thought.

There's no doubt our better players will be well on the radar because of their performances in Europe. Especially the likes of Wanyama. Ki stated a couple times that his dream was to play in the EPL and now he's playing his trade there and at only 23 - who knows how far he could still go. He has the potential to play in a similar league and at a bigger team in my opinion.

He may play in a better league, but he has already played for the biggest club in his career.
