Since Donati has now finished developing, that's what I'm judging it on.

I can't remember ever seeing Donati play pre-Milan so have no idea how good he actually was.

Ki, IMO, will go onto be a better player than Donati. Easily.

There are a good few Crosas threads, so in one of those.

As for Donati, remember a thread about him (Moving to Palermo?) in which he got a fair amount of praise. A few wanted him back as well. Nowhere near as much as Crosas, though.

    Found a few threads.

  2. Whether Ki is too lazy or not, he is the best passer in the team. Mulgrew and Commons are great, but No. 18 edges it. And having such a player is handy, always.

  3. He's a good passer, no doubt.

Ledley is just as tidy, although ki's passes are just that bit more spectacular-ish.

Ledley is a more all-round player though.

  4. Crosas and Donati better than Ki ? I cannot believe what I'm seeing in this thread...

  5. Fair statement. Ledley's main quality is the bolded bit. Except the deadly headers he has. If we want to think of ourselves as a technical team, then Ki definitely merits a spot in it. With a clever tactic, the brunt of the defensive work can be done by our more combative players, and then there should be less fuss about Ki's shortcomings.

  7. That's a perfectly good statement - although, if our more combative players are out and Ki is in the team, then he must do his share of "dirty work" on the defensive - no two ways about it I'm afraid.

  8. Surely not all would be out at the same time? I'd * dread seeing a team where Kayal, Wanyama, Brown and Ledley cannot play. It'd imply injuries. And I'm fully aware Ki can't replace them in the defensive role.

  9. Kayal has the same ability as Ki on the ball....

Which is Ki's problem really, when we have a guy with his passing ability in the sqaud who is that good defensively he won't really get a game until injuries force it.

  10. Sorry, but Kayal isn't that good technically. Not saying he is bad, just that Ki is superior.

  11. I disagree mate. Ki hasn't got Kayals ability at shielding the ball and the skill to beat players, his passing is only marginally better as well.

  12. Kayal, Ledley and Ki all have a similar range of passing. I think ki just edges it, but as mentioned, the other two have far more attributes than Ki.

I would say Ki is more of a goal threat than either though. Although I'd trust Ledley in a big game rather than Ki. He has work to do on his game but he is a useful player to have here.

Saying that if we get a big offer in for him I think it's a no brainer to sell him.

  13. In your opinion, what would be an acceptable price for Ki?

  14. £7m

    Wouldn't sell for less.

  15. This isn't exactly Kayal's specialty.

  16. I know it isn't but he is * good at it anyway, the amount of times I've seen him shield the ball and then turn and take 2 or 3 of their players out the game is incredible.

He is very good at it.

  17. Kayal is better than Ki, but, i think Ki's passing is quite a bit better, i know Kayal has played some stunning passes in the hoops, but im talking Consistency, and passing wise....Ki is alot more consistant, he'll consistantly play a wide range of passes well.....whereas kayals long passing in particular is very erratic

I love kayal though, hes our best midfielder

  18. Kayal is actually a very good dribbler. If he weren't so good at the defensive side fo the game I could see him being a winger as he has good pace and can beat a man with a dribble. There have been several times where he goes on a run and beats 2 or 3 men.

  19. Hes is great at that. He has that strenghr and low centre of gravity to pull of very sharp turning at speed etc. ki doesnt have that strenght or agility imo
