Selling Ki will raise us funds to address the other areas of the team that need addressed.Ki is now probably down the pecking list behind Kayal, Ledley, Wanyama and Broony, Forrest, Samaras and Commons, so what is the point of him staying now and getting splinters on his * from the bench ?

Commons' block tackle on McCabe on Sunday was amazing and led to the third goal, when did you ever see Ki contribute as defensively as Commons does ?

I don't wish to take this thread off topic, but seeing as you raised it, who in their right mind would want to sell Hooper and Brown just after we have won the league.

You do want to win the league again next year ?

If you don't want to answer the question then just say so.

More assists in less starts than Ki.

incredibly stupid comparison, all those you mentioned work incredibly hard off the ball while Ki doesn't.

Why am I "picking" on his defensive frailties? I asked this question before - why is it when someone points out where they believe a players weaknesses are, some people on here make out as though the player is being bullied? :97:

I shall address this once more - If, according to Big *, that Ki's main position at Celtic is sitting infront of the defenders, then he has to take on certain defensive responsibilities - infact, even just playing in central midfield means you have to take on certain responsibilities. If he is deployed as an attacking midfilder - then by all means let him do nothing else, but there must be a balance.

I point you in the direction of Juninho - World Cup winning midfielder who could not hack it at Celtic on lovely touches.

Commons now that he has sorted his weight problem is far more useful to us than Ki IMO. Commons could have scored a barrowload of goals in his last four appearances if Lady Luck had been with him. The difference between Commons and Ki is that Commons appears to have worked on his fitness and defensive aspects of his game. Put it this way I wouldn't want to be tackled by Commons because he is built like a brick * house.

Why we would sell our best striker, and our captain, in order to keep the chancer that is Ki is beyond me.

2 players that know how to do the business against the huns. Something I doubt Ki will ever replicate.

If Brown is worth £4m, then surely Ki - voted as Asian player of the year - would be worth more?

Talent does'nt always win games ,A bit of grit and determination helps and also helps the better players play ,Ki does not have this in his game and I would go as far as to say he is a bit of a lightweight ,good player but in a game like that I would always go with a digger in there.

A balance of the two is required in Scottish football.

    Good post, sir :50:

i used to really like Ki but i've gone off him recently, his game has just become so predictable.... he offers next to nothing at the back and lately has not contributed at all going forward, he slows the play down and passes backwards more than anything. i think he should move on for the good of his own career, that's just my opinion though

He's been off form since he went to South Korea and picked up an illness.

Don't think we should make excuses for Ki. We have all been sick and you just have to get over it. Ki has been here three years now, and we lost two leagues when he played a lot in our midfield, remember those disastrous three home draws in November. Ki was in midfield in them. He hardly plays this year in midfield and we win the league. it tells you a story.

No, it doesn't. Those 3 games in December it was, Kayal, Brown, Hooper and Stokes were injured.

Commons played more last season than this and we lost the league last year. Must be his fault then.

I just don't get that kind of logic.

Classic line from you, he has been a scapegoat recently, to suggest otherwise is pretty ridiculous, all you have to read into is the fact he was being lambasted after the rangers game and he didn't even play! Fans were happy he was injured etc...

He certainly has a future with Celtic of that i have no doubt, its about getting a consistent run in the team in his correct position just in front of the defence and we will see the best of him. Cannot play your best football one game here one game there, commons has taken almost 10 games to get back to his best, consistent games and what do we get a Commons who looks like the player from last season.
