My !!Exagerration!! was in an exclamation as I knew it was a joke.

Ki is a good passer, his long range stuff is great, but lets not go over the top mate. He isnt a guaranteed start and you have him as a legend.

For my money, Nakamura, in the last 6/7 years was a better passer. Played the short and long passes much more effectively and a brave wee player as well.

The long passes in football are the ones that make the headlines, but it is the ability to play, and recieve, short 5 or 10 yard passes in midfield that make the difference. Thats what Barcas game is built on and why Xavi and Iniesta are so lauded.

Legend, Where did you pull that from?

I said he was the best passer I have ever seen in the hoops, that doesn't mean he is a legend in my eyes.

As said before the Xavi thing was a joke, hence the laughing face.

So he isnt then in your eyes? Fair enough though when you start bandying phrases such as "the best passer I have ever seen" then you can understand the misinterpretation, right?

And I got the Xavi thing, you didnt need to repeat it.

  5. That's one of his biggest attributes.

Kemo, sometimes, I feel like u try too hard to justify something that isn't true. delusional a bit.

Just watch the 2nd video and read your post again.

Ki and Kayal complement each other perfectly and it's really exciting. They are our best CM pairing and it's down to the rest to fight for the other two/three midfield slots.:shamrock:

I must admit i haven't been his biggest fan but he was superb yesterday, great passing and another excellent finish, well done to him :50:

  8. I have slated Ki on a number of occasions but have to say he impressed me yesterday and also at the SC Final against Motherwell. I still think Ledley and Kayal are our strongest Midfield pairing but feel that Ki will have a big part to play this season.

  9. Brown will be worried.

  10. I am a huge fan of the Ledley and Kayal partnership, but Ki has stepped up since Ledley done his hamstring against rangers last season. Great competiion in there, plus means Brown wont play centre mid and will stick to wide right where his best position is, imo!

Your using a clip of a video from a performance against a, frankly, poor Hibs side to justify your point? Im not putting him down, just offering a bit of balance to the over the top adulation over one performance.

Im going to go with Neil on this one. Delighted with him yesterday, thrilled even. But last season he wasnt good enough to split up Kayal and Ledley.

And yesterday , as in most games, Kayal was the boss.

  12. Agreed 100%.

Some people just cannot accept any criticism of their golden bhoy:38:

  13. I really fancy the prospect of a:

    Commons-----Kayal-----Ki-----Ledley

Midfield, I know that means dropping our captain Brown, but I think Mark Wilson is more than deserving for the armband.

Players from different countries can often take time to adjust to new leagues especially when they are in different continents. I was not asking people to support South Korea. Also whether we like it or not international players have a right and a duty to play for their country at the expense of their club.

I dont understand it. He is a good player, was inconsistent last season but had a good spell towards the end of the season.

He had one good second half in our first match and the coverage has been over the top. I actually thought John Hartson and Stickface on ESPN were a bit gushing as well. He needs to do that on a week by week basis and not just in flashes. Its great for the club that we have so many midfielders that are vying for places but the only two for me that I would not hesitate to start would be Commons and Kayal. Brown will probably play on the right as he is captain so that leaves Ledley and Ki.

On yesterdays performance there probably wont be much to choose between them, but Ledley is a solid consistent performer and thats what Ki needs to match.

Is that being delusional? I dont think so.

thought Ki sprayed passes about very well the other day and the goal was the cherry on the cake. he looked great. i would like to see him use this as a base and progress this year to challenge Ledley and Kayal even further. he's a great option.

  17. I'm sure some will be back to slating him soon enough . One minute he's not good enough , the next he's superman . I have to say I've always liked ki and I hope he stays for a long time

  18. Best player on the pitch attacking wise yesterday, he passed forward at every oppertunity and kept the ball very well when he had it, pinged a few balls out wide as well

  19. Ki was great against Hibs, although he has been excellent the last few times I've seen him. I don't know who Lenny will drop but I can't see the midfield without him if he keeps up this level of performance!

    ---------------------Zaluska-------------------

    M.Wilson----Maj---------K.Wilson-------Izzy

    Brown---------Kayal------Ki-----------Ledley

    --------------------Commons------------------

    ---------------------Hooper--------------------

I dunno was thinking about a solution but don't know if Hooper could play upfront on his own, it's gonna be hard for him to leave anyone out of the midfield from they five.
