Ki

  1. Only standout game where i can remember Ledley hiding was the 3-1 defeat to Der hun last season at Paradise, and we were bullied in the middle!

  2. dont know why people are comparing ledley and ki, they are two very different kinds of midfielder. work rate is a huge part of ledleys game, but its not for ki, who relies mostly on his technical ability. ledley is more suited to scottish football than ki. whereas ki would flourish in europe.

  3. Yes I will say Ledley is better than Ki and stand by it especially what he consistently offers to the team.

    Sell.

  4. sell ki and spend the money on other areas of the team

  5. £4m and he's out the door.

  6. I think that's a pretty fair and accurate analysis. :50:

  7. There is no comparison between Ki and Ledley.

One is a player who gives a minimum 7/10 performance every time he plays, can deliver in several positions, keeps his head down and grafts. Can tackle, pass, track back and has an intelligence in his positional sense. He has also been a stalwart in our great run towards the title.

    The other is Ki.

  8. If we got a decent offer for him I would sell. Capable of special moments but doesn't produce enough of them

  9. He was utter * against Sion in a game he should have "flourished" in. Hope those russians come back for him.

  10. Wasn't great at all that night but thought he was one of our better players in Europe this season tbh. Looked really comfortable for large chunks of it, especially at home to Udinese and away to Rennes.

Whilst he does unarguably go missing in some big games, I feel that he's more often than not one of our better players on such occasions.

  11. i like Ki, but in a fully fit midfield others play better on a constant basis.
Got a decent bid for him id be inclined to let him go but on the other hand he can be our best player at times so hard one here i think.

  12. Get Ki punted, he's a liability to play, has a few great games a season then fails to kick his own * for the rest of the season. Tries to be superman no matter how easy the other options around him are.

  13. Ki a player rated by many football coaches as a player they would rather buy than Ledley.

Ki = rated by professional coaches
Ledley = rated by forum posters

    Rated higher than Nakumara

Not good enough for Celtic? or not accommodated.
Maybe we should play to the strengths of our only player who could possibly become world class.

  14. There is alot of people on tc who slate Ki sayin hes * but why do they rate him so highly for a transfer fee?? Dont really understand it.

I think he struggles when he is in and out of the team but when he gets a good run in the side he seems to get better and better. Best technical player we have. What i class as a proper football player. Id play him every week and see him flourish into a class act.

  15. Wrong. They held up okay last season when we lost Kayal. Granted there was the winter slump but they held up ok.

I'd say out worst would be Brown and Ki, keep in mind I find Brown to be much more effective on the wing, not because he's a winger but because of his dig. He has dig but can't pass. We've stuck him out on the wing so that the build up play isn't his job, simply to run forward and run back winning the ball back for us.

Brown is a headless chicken in the middle and Ki is... Ki is ki. Talented no doubt but he's really not bringing much to the middle compared to anybody else.

Edit: btw I like ki. He gets me up off my * whenever he takes a shot. He's an exciting player but the question isn't is he good enough, but how do we utilise him?

  16. Ledley was linked with Liverpool, Villa, other prem teams and top Italian team as well so you will find he is highly rated by other coaches.
Ki is a good footballer but to say we should change the system to suit him is stupid. No player is bigger than the club and if we did change the system to get the best out of him then we would have to reshape the whole team when he leaves.

  17. At the beginning of the season the majority of posters on here would be happy to have seen Samaras go for free just to get him off the wage bill. Now the our team and coach play to his strengths how many would like to see him leave for free.

Changing our system to suit our players to me would be less stupid that letting weaker SPL teams dictate what system we should play. We are giants in the SPL akin to Barca in La Liga and they do not feel the need to change their system when playing other teams.

you take every individual in our squad, put them into a half decent side on the continent, and ki would have a better season than anyone else. guaranteed.

  18. He is the South Korean POTY and regular internationalist and he is relatively young therefore he is on the international radar therefore he is worth money.

He is typecast as something he is not. Mulgrew has a much, much better indirect and direct free kick as well as corner and even long shot.

What I and many others are saying is he has a high resale value and he would not be in our top 4 centre mids therefore selling him would not damage the starting 11 and would fill our coffers to spend on weaker parts of the side.

  19. The correct question. How to bring out the best in him, and have him be a key part of the team.
