As much as I hate him, why did we ever let him go? He's by far the best striker in the league and could be the difference between winning or losing the title. Samaras was getting his game ahead of him ffs:31:

Got good money for him. He didn't do it for us. Bet yous weren't thinking this during his first season back, where he didn't do what he is currently doing. You're only saying this as he is on form. But I understand. I was ok with letting him go at the time. Let's not degrade ourselves by actually wishing he was here. No way.

Thats not the point though. Fair enough. I was happy for him to stay or go for 3 million at the time. I wasn't fussed as we had Jan. I know we have nobody who's banging them in like he is but if he wasn't he wouldn't be in our thoughts.

But he is. And he was always good for us. And I was annoyed when we let him go, seein as we spent 2 mill on Samaras in and around that time. Samaras is not half the player Miller is and I dont think Jan was either tbh

Quite simply he didn't deliver for us... what was it - 17 games before he scored his first goal? Thats Cascarino territory. Yes, he scored a couple of decent ones for us, but not nearly enough. Personality aside, we got decent money, he (& Zurawski) were replaced by JVOH & Skippy.

Wasn't disappointed to see him go.

Maybe letting him go was a mistake because he's certainly improved with age, at the time though, I don't think we got a bad deal at all. We weren't to know this would be the case.

He was never always good for us mate. No way. FFS man Samaras was better in loan spell for us than Miller in his entire spell for Celtic and Jan had 2 very decent seasons at Celtic and led our line well- better than Miller
