John Park

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by holy pope, Oct 28, 2010.

  1. Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is ready to snap up two old pals for his backroom staff as he shakes up his new club.

Mowbray wants to bring in former Hibs and Celtic ally John Park as general manager. The respected talent-spotter is expected to accept the post and quit Neil Lennon’s staff shortly.

And Mowbray also wants to bring in old team-mate Stephen Pears as goalkeeping coach, ironically he was axed by Boro in the summer, but he has turned down a job at Aston Villa to return to the Riverside.

  3. * right off mowbray :38:

  4. Good!

    Dirty Hun *!

  5. If Park wants to leave then cheerio. It will be a loss to us but maybe we need to move on and Lenny should get his own scouts in place.

  6. HOPE SO!

  7. CelticRumors on Twitter say it's a load of rubbish. Don't see why Park would want to go from here to Boro in their current plight.

  8. * off Mowbray :38: It will be the old funny handshake again. It was the same with McDowall.

  9. :56::50:top class as always .

  10. Any chance he wants Loovens and Samaras too.

  11. Leaving a club you have served for years for their bitter arch-rivals is is no way comparable to this case.

  12. I'm not really gonna get all riled bout this one. The guy has not been here long enough to make a true difference and Mowbray was asked to leave so its not traitorous in the least on either of their parts.

    Good luck to both.

  13. What exactly does he do for us anyway was never to sure

  14. Football Development Manager is his title, he's a scout basically. Works his * off for the club.

  15. Right i see so would he have been responsible for the signings during the summer?

  16. There's a strong possibility of it aye.

  17. In that case it be sad to see him go as iv been impressed by most of the signings we made who would be a canditate to step into this role any idea jack

  18. Not got a clue mate tbh, the rumours are meant to be nonsense anyway. Lazy journalism.

  19. losing him would be a blow. especially considering the talent that he's spotted from obscure locations. hopefully he stays

    Hope so:50:
