First half he was terrible, that Dutch left back had him sussed in the first tackle when marshalling the ball out for a goal kick..
Did have a better second half but right now, no question, MacKay Steven brings more to the team..

You could have taken anyone off in the first half and nobody could have complained about it, yet Forrest turns it around in the second and still we are talking about him.

Yet he was still the man who made the difference. I like that in a player, someone who can turn a game while it's not quite going for them. Our full team was quite like that last night, Forrest stood up and made a difference though. So fair play.

He really was * last night.

For someone with such 'pace' he is completely woeful at taking on the full back and going by them. Get's bullied off the ball very easily a lot of the time.

As for the shot he had in the first half, it couldn't have been anymore straight at the keeper or tame if he'd tried to be with it.

I think the fact that we are all talking about it just tells you that he was the poorest player first half. Which he was in my opinion. He had a poor game barring his goal, and the effort that won the penalty. I personally wanted him off for Mackay-Steven, and that was the feeling with pretty much everyone around me at the game.

There is no way he was worse than Armstrong. He might have looked worse because he was showing for the ball a lot and at least trying to make things happen. Armstrong though, apart from one cut inside and he set up Stokes I think, did the square root of hee haw, geniunely forgot he was on the park at times.

Aye, I will agree with you about Armstrong, he was very poor. He and Forrest were the two worst performers I felt. The thing is, what we seen from Forrest last night is par for the course these days in my opinion.

Totally agree with you on Armstrong. And Stokes was woeful the whole match.

From outside the box his shooting is *.

Don't know how you can say otherwise.

We have been saying this about him for 5 year now. "He can still add things to his game" well we are all still waiting here. Couple good games and suddenly folk are blind to all of his poor attributes.

‘I don’t want to think about it like Stefan being one of our biggest assets in terms of money. I want to think that we have a good player. We want to build the team around players like him – Nir, Jamesy (Forrest), Virgil. We have young players coming up. They can be better and can improve.'

    Recent Ronny quote ^

Seems he rates Forrest very highly if he mentions his name alongside those guys.

Thought he had a * game again last night. His first touch was often poor and his passes over hit. I don't think playing him on the left works, it means he has to cut inside to get it onto his Right foot but when the midfield is as crowded as it was last night, there's no space there; it's maybe better to get a player to the line for him to get crosses into the box or to cut it back as Matthews has done to good effect on occasions.

Personally, I think he's overrated but Ronnie must see something in him......

I thought Ronny had learned to never play him on the left.

  15. this, he always comes back or runs in to trouble in the middle, get him on the right and let him run at the full back, all be it ranking was left back for united, but he roasted him that night, its hard to give players abuse when they are not being played in there best position, its the exact thing with stokes, and even commons just now as he prefers to be in the johanson role.

Which is the problem when you play him on the left, he always runs back to get the ball on his right foot. It takes both him and Izzy out the game. There's no cohesion between the two.

On the right at least he can either take men on or play off the striker, he runs with the ball showing on his right foot, you can't do that on the left wing.

First game I've missed for a while last night, so I can't comment on his performance. Going by what people have said though, it sounds like another frustrating game from him, which doesn't really surprise me if that is the case.

Wasn't unlucky. It was (*) poor management by Deila. Fell in the old trap of taking off "the youngest player" just because that's the way it is.

Forrest was the most creative force on the pitch. Deila effed up.
