Crossing the Line recently was pretty good. I also liked the one about the English soldier in Afghanistan, Jack's Story.

Street Wise.... Great documentary film from the 80s about homeless teens in New York .... Really sad and available on YouTbe

 

Into the Abyss- a film by Werner Herzog about death row in the USA. Very interesting but pretty depressing stuff. Not the best documentary I've ever seen but the best one I've watched recently.

 

Murder ball is worth a watch.
