CSCS Test

Discussion in 'TalkCeltic Pub' started by PaoloDiCanio, Jul 22, 2011.

  1. Just about to resit my CSCS (construction site health and safety) card i was just wondering if anyone knew the best place like a website or something to revise with.

I passed the test when i was 15 years back but i have known in the past to get a bit to confident, i did have a book a while back that more or less gave me all the answers but i know that the test has changed alot since in regards to fire fire extinguishers etc. and from what i remember the test was 90% common knowledge.

Any help would be brilliant lads as i don't wanna go in and * it up :50:

  2. where do you live? iv got a book you can have, my son just sat it.

You shouldnt have any problems, they give you all the info you need in each seperate model and you answer the questionairre after each one. It was multiple choice the last time I done it and the tutor helps you out if you dont understand any of the questions. All the best:shamrock:

I live down south near Preston Jacqui i was thinking about getting a book the one i had last time was really good.

  4. When do you sit the test? if its not for a week or so i can send it down to you. My bhoy found it really good.

  5. On the Monday Jacqui unfortunately i just wanted to spend the weekend revising really, but i really appreciate you offering though thanks allot, hopefully i will find something though.

How is your son finding working in the building trade i take it that it's an apprenticeship he has got ?

  6. hes working with a tiler but they do jobs for Tesco ect, so he needs the card to get on the sites, works a bit hit or miss just now though, same as everyone i suppose, im sure youll pass ok i dont think its that hard, good luck mate :50:

  7. Funnily enough tiling was my first ever job and i really enjoyed it but my boss ended up moving to Dubai to work but i suppose that just shows what you can make of yourself, since then i went through * with my last job i was working 6:30 to 7:00 for £90 a week didn't get sent to college or anything was meant to be learning plastering all i did was scaffholding, labouring and basicly being a slave, so it's good to know he has landed a decent job :50:

  8. Get the book mate ! the test has changed a bit since then !

    I thought i was a smart * and knew it all....FAIL ! :52:

  9. just wondering if anyone knows where a can do a mock test online, got my exam on friday and I have read the book just looking to get an idea of how the test is set up and what sort of questions to look for

  10. sit at a computer with a programme all set up and its multiple choice quistions. theres usually always one on stuff like fire extinguishers and working at heights.

Alot is just common sense to be honest

  11. cheers

  12. Wow this an old one :icon_mrgreen:

Trust me anyone looking in.. If someone were to fail that test they shouldn't be allowed near the public never mind a building site.

I think my 10year old brother could pass it
But it's normal to worry :50:

  13. a sat it about 5 years ago and passed just not sure how much its changed, judging by the book a should be okay was just looking for a clearer view on what is on the test

  14. Need to update mine, bluffed my way without it for long enough lol

  15. You can do this through the ILA grant lads :50: my brother just booked his & doesnt need to pay :icon_mrgreen:
