    MODS: Before i start i tried to post in the correct section but wouldn't let me

    Hello,

    I have my Windows XP account password protected (the wife done it) but now she can't remember the password. I just set it up today but I forgot the password I chose. Can someone tell me how to unlock this password or take it off so I can use my computer?

    Can u acsess the administrator account? if so go to control panel, accounts then remove password and that should do the trick. If not you may need to take it to your local IT repair shop and they will remove it altough it could cost you about ten quid.

    no can't gain access to the account at all
    i have a separate account but its limited privileges
