Boruc

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Jungle Bhoy, Mar 22, 2006.

  1. Apparently hes had a * game tonight and hes just gifted Inverness a goal. Anyone think young DM should be given a chance? I am a fan of Boruc but apparently hes had a really bad game tonight.

i honestly dont know why u signed him marshall is a well better keeper and would have been number 1 for years for celtic and scotland. I dnt know why hes kept his place after his outburst about training and arsenal.

His outburst about Arsenal and training was all a joke as WGS and AB have said many times. As for his performances, they've totally slipped since he signed a full time deal. Boruc really needs to get a grip or Marshall will be back in that team before too long.

Marshall should have been given another chance long ago imo. I like boruc but he's made a lot of mistakes, some worse than DM made and was dropped for. Tonight could have cost us dearly if we were only 1 goal ahead ended up a draw or even if we were draw and could have lost! O.k we got through it but we wont always be as lucky! Just my bit. 2-1 C'mon the hoops!!

I think Boruc is still a very good keeper but i have to admit it may not be a bad thing to let DM have another chance, especially when Artur's form has dipped in recent weeks

  7. Boruc wasnt made 2 do much 2nite so u cant say he had a poor game, cali's first real shot slipped under him arm and u could tell he was angry at himself. was just a mistake. celtic palyed well most of the game and it should really have been a bigger score for them. lennon was more like a striker, he had at least 5 half decent shots on goal, and was totally comanding and just amazing 2nite. his best performance and was rewarded man of the match. i was just gutted he never scored!!! 17 points clear... cis cup... great players and captain wat more could u want??? je suis a happy bunny!!

Its just a mistake yes, but its happening more and more and is going to end up costing us.A we spell with Marshall may do good as it will have them both playing better to compete for the place so we'll have a better keeper either way, Hopfully lol!

Marshall will get his chance after the Hearts game when the league is won. Boruc had * all to do tonight and was caught cold at the end. A bad goal to lose but let's no crucify him for it. Thought the Jungle Bhoys were brilliant tonight, sang the whole game through but no one joined in. The supporters want to take a look at themselves, they couldn't even be arsed to hold up a Jinky poster as a tribute to the wee man.Very disapointing.

Its not crucifying him for a mistake at the end of tonights game, its for a string of them in the past. Marshall's mistakes werent as bad in comparison with all boruc's latest imo. How mant tributes are you looking for, There was one at the begining of the game tonight..

i was at the game 2nyt and think boruc should be dropped. i am a fan of him but hes makin 2 many mistakes. he had nuthin 2 do 2nyt n then wen he gets tested he throws it in2 the net. bring back wee marshall and give him a chance. i agree with lennons lass lennon was amazin 2nyt couple of good shots on goal and held the midfield magnificantly. :celt_2: HAIL HAIL 2-1 anutha 3 points in the bag:50: :shamrock:

Someone went to a lot of bother organising these posters, there were signs on all the turnstiles asking you to hold them up as the teams appeared. Most people couldn't be arsed, it's not asking a helluva lot. Because there was a tribute at the start of the game does that mean we ignore the rest.I just thought the wee man deserved better.

Don't you think that this is strange that we always have poor goalies?
Even if they were good in the past.
Artur had the same confidence in Legia and it didn't disturb him playing well. In the begining he was playing well for Bhoys.
Maybe it is smth wrong with Celtic's goalie coaches...

I on the other hand don't like Boruc but think he's a good keeper non the less.

I've seen Marshall in the games with the Slovaks and he was...well...bad.
I can't understand why You are saying DM is better if You haven't seen him play for 6 or 7 months...

And yes - there is bound to be a big difference in goalie training in Poland and the Isles - first, we export 3 keepers a year, which means they are good - Legia alone has trained 3 great coaches in the last few years. But when they start playing in England or Scotland - whoops, goodbye great form... That was the case of Dudek, Malkowski and Boruc...

  16. With the league title sealed pretty much I think we can afford to give young David a chance in goal. Not saw the goals or anything from the game last night but I will watch with great joy. 17 points clear, its coming home.

Celtic is a few steps up from Legia so thinking that he was good there so he'll be good here doesnt hold water. Its a higher standard of soccer, not a player getting worse

It is Boruc's fault if he "switches off" in the last few minutes of a game. The excuse that he had nothing much to do is not good enough. He's not pushing himself like McManus and Maloney do every match, he doesnt seem to learn from his mistakes.

Lately I've seen more and more Rab Douglas in Boruc, he's slipping up and its getting more regular, he needs a hot poker up his * to get him back to the Keeper we loaned out at the start of the season.

I think i few games out would fire Boruc up and get him back to his commanding performances of earlier in the season. Wotever u think of him he still comes for more balls than Douglas did. I liked Big Rab but but i think u need a lot of confidence to b a celtic keeper . Marshall showed it at the Barca games and Boruc has shown it for most of this season.

Borcu will need to get the finger out if he wants to go to the World Cup! He can't afford to be sidelined.
