he didnt expect or want that sort of media attention, i daresay he enjoys it now, but it is the media who have made people feel like that about him, like when the radio overplay a song for months and then you hate it

 

Absolute bullshit mate.
John Smeaton did not save countless lives. The off-duty cop and others who played a much greater role saved lives. Unfortunately, most people (I included) could not even tell you the names of the real heroes, whereas that * Smeaton made himself look a bigman in an interview later that day and people loved him for it.
A fact, the people who really helped where not interviewed by the media that day.. because they were being quesitoned by the cops at the time Smeaton was bumming himself up to the worlds cameras...

He aimed one * kick, then made a big song and dance about it...

 

i dont think he did make a song and dance about it, i have never read any quote from smeaton claiming to be a hero, that would be the media

 

he done next to * all it was the other 2 guys who got fuked in aboot the *,one of them booted the * that hard on the baws he broke his foot,smeaton got all the credit and the superhero status cause he was first to talk to the cameras.

 

I don't see how he saves countless lives, the terrorists 'bomb' didn't go off, it was a rubbish attack. All he did was kick the man who was on fire.
