MCGEADY FINED AND SUSPENDED

Aye there is a thread on that article. McGeady has a history of back chatting to people when they give it to him straight, remember him and Lennon at each other after a match a couple of seasons ago? I bet Lennon gave it to him without any sugar coating and he didnt like it one bit but he needs to learn to take criticism and step it up when the pressure is on.

lol I also think Lennon should have a wee word with Mcgeady, but i suppose we will need to wait and see when all the details of this come out

 

So thats it then, well at least it will keep some idiots happy, it'll be the new reason to hate wgs... and Im sure they'll be the ones that soon forget wgs was the one that developed the wee man from the start, as quoted by Aiden, something along the lines of wgs takes him aside and personally worked with him. wgs spends time with him after training, and coaches him.

Maloney is another example, wgs got the best out of him. Not O'Neil.

Now we are all gonna hear about this in the red tops and phone ins, they will set up with the "WGS vs McGeady", for the sensible fan out there thats not effected by Bill Leckie and the like and tripe they come out with, take a sec to think about it. This should NOT be a vent for the anti strachan mob to bang a fecking drum.

What ever happend, happend. I, for one, will always stand by our managers (directors backed) decision, for the simple fact they have the best interests of our club at heart.

I agree that he should be fined if the stories are true, but fined and banned for 2 games is harsh, maybe too harsh.
But in saying that, I completely stand by WGS decision, Reason? well no one player should show disrespect to their manager, especially in front of the rest of the team. Thats just being a wee plick! Can you imagine what Scolari,Ferguson or Wenger would do if it was one of their players that done that.

The fact Maloney is out makes the timeing a bit pissy, but the manager has shown true character, and that he isn't affraid to show he's the boss. Ballsy but brave decision.

 

You Can tell theres probably going to be huge Aiden Mcgeady chants at the next game. Especially if it comes out in the press that he hasn't done much wrong or he is interviewed and says the right things

I think that GS has absolutely done the right thing here.mcgeadys behaviour like that needs stamped out right away and if this is the only way then so be it before any problems in the dressing room start.....unless its too late.If mcgeady really loved the club like he says he does he wouldnt act like an * and risk getting punished by the club.I would expect the same to happen to any other player that stepped out of line so badly no matter who it is,no player is bigger than the club.
Also would you see fergie,mourinho or anyone else in charge of a massive club letting this slip by without notice?I think not.

Without knowing the facts that surround this sad episode, none of us can really judge, and make a call on it. Must be extremely serious for him to dealt in this way though.
I've never been a WGS fan, and never will be, BUT, if the player has stepped out of line, then he has to accept the consequences.

I don't think WGS is the easiest person to deal with - ask anyone on the media - but he's really putting himself on the line with this decision. Failure on Saturday and/or against the Huns and he's in DEEP trouble - axing one of the very few real talents we have from the team could result in a major backlash. Sadly I don't see the player staying now.

Pretty sure they're all having a chuckle at Murray Park over this one.

 

I think we know how is agent is trying to play it:

"He feels that the action is completely unjustified."
...
"He remains 110% Celtic; he's supported them and loves them."
....
"But there's a difference between how Aiden feels he's been treated by the club's hierarchy as opposed to his relationship with the club at large."

The wee * is trying to make out that he doesn't want to leave the etc. I'd bite a teams arm off if they offerered anywhere near 10m for him at the moment.

lads ffs Mc Geady is a good player yes but when you brake club rules this will happen, I am 100% behind Strachan! People forget this is a job to the players if you broke the rules at your workplace you would more or less get the some outcome maybe even sacked! People forget that this is there job. Lads get behind the team com'om the hoops

 

He's trying to get out the club cos he knows he's still got a long contract to run, wee * thinks he's bigger than the club.

Strachan is totally in the right in this instance imo. Where do you draw the line ? He can't just let Aiden walk all over him. McGeady has obviously disrespected him and Strachan has acted accordingly.
