We had a really good team though that took us to the Uefa Cup. This team gets embarassed from Pub teams like Aalborg and Bratislava. Its about time the fans done something otherwise the board will continue to spend * all on us :47:

In fairness mate, I hate Strachan, but I'm here when we're winning and I praise him and the board when praise is necessary.

The basic fact is we are not good enough for the Champions League, don't blame the manager, or the players, or the board, we are a small poorly equiped team who play in a small league in a small country with a small budget, be grateful our team can play the best teams in europe, we will never be world beaters, enjoy what we have and be happy.!!!!

    Isn't it Strachan's fault for making those 2 bad subs : rofl : ?

Don't kid yourself mate, McDonald dived before their first goal, clearly.

Right look guys, I know we've had a crap night but please do not turn on each other, leave that pish for the fools on the other side thanks.

Aim frustrations at the team/tactics/manager/pie n bovril guy (who would have played better than Sammy) if you must.

That's not good enough mate. We have a proud European tradition. If you are happy with not being competitive then power to you.

i did say it was starchan's fault for the two subs but apart from that the tactics and line-up were spot on. i assumed it was a freekick the first time and it didn't show a replay.

I don't like quoting myself, but im not typing it again.

THAT^ is why it's Strachans fault imo.

what i was trying to say in a shorter way was he got his tactics and line-up spot-on.

No need to explain yourself man. I know your here and giving your views (positive or negative) when we're beating the St. Mirrens and the Hamltons of this world.

It was more aimed at the people who only crawl out the woodwork to slate the team.

Donati broke his toe this week, Hartley and Crosas were not fully fit, Sammy is at least 3 or 4 games away from match fitness, MCgeady was out, JVOH was out, Naka has been playing with an injury. Maloney is not 1005. We were still in the midst of a huge inury/match fitness crisis. Its started to effect us badly in the last couple of weeks and we have been lucky to not drop SPL points. A CL game was the last thing we needed.

BTW, many thought Caldwell was superb at CM tonight and he also was against Man U. He and Robson were our best players by a mile tonight.

Ive said this before but im also suspicious that Celtic plc have no european ambition - its a commercial gravy train - do enough - just- to win the league, £10 mil, thanks very much. Oh, we're out? Ah well, we promise to spend lots in close season yadda yadda.

Crunch will come in January. If they spend * all then, I will know I'm right.

Wont stop me going to games, but will be looking for ways to get at the board.

Messi - you were bang on about the best cross of the nught coming from Maloney.

I always wonder what a manager thinks when a team is getting beat and they throw on a sub in the 90th - "Send on Maloney, he can turn back time"?

OK then what positives would u take from tonite's game then. And don't put this down to bad luck. They bottled it and Strachan (who i am a fan of) left it about 20mins to late to make the necessary changes.

Yes we do have a very proud tradition, i want to see us be competative in Europe but the sad fact is we cannot compete against the big boys, on a financial scale.

This European campaign was doomed from the opening game, we were poor against Alburg at home, the secret of our success in this competition has always been "Fortress Parkhead", we have lost that aspect this season

Shame on the anti-WGS squad taking their chance again tonight after 11 SPL wins in a row. Sad sad individuals with issues:38::38::38:

Positives - Caldwell, Brown, Robson, Skippy, Wilson, not having our first team (will we ever in the CL?), 4 in a row here we * go

Negatives - Mcmanus, Naka going backwards all the time, Big Donkey Sheridan, Maloney left too late

I was speechless after the game. That was one mob we should have skelped. We had our chances and didnt take them. Was glad Strachan played 2 up front mind. Lets just deal with it and move on lads. Concentrate on the treble and humping the huns in December
