I've never had Lewandowski or Marquinhos on 09.

Or Sakho for that matter.

 

i just searched two kids that were in the year above me in my school daniel preston and timothy cooney and they play for blues and walsall it's really strange lol

 

If he's going to get a lot of first team games for you then keep him, play him and have someone with a good personality to tutor him

If not then loan him out, I guess. Loan him to the team who say he'll be a first team regular, not backup

 

My guys out on loan keep getting subbed in the 15-30th minutes of their games... *.

 

Gutted Mascio isnt on the 9.0.3 update, he was immense for me in the last save.

Hmm Hunskelper I have started 2 games since the new update - Crystal Palace and Parma. I believe he was in the Palace one but not the Parma one afaik.

Speaking of which just started a game with Parma - halfway through the season playing a fairly standard 4-4-2 with flying wingers and solid centre midfield. Luccarelli can pretty much carry the team but my entire squad is generally much stronger than the rest of Serie B.

Signed Zuccarelli and Lewandowski for the future - got £10million in the coffers (none of which I can spend on transfers) so once I get promoted I imagine I'll have a shitload to spend.

Not really messed with much - I let the assistant do all the team talks - although I hired a few extra decent staff. 11 points clear after January so just can't wait for next season!

Tutored by Mathieu, personality becomes fairly professional which is good, and given a good few matches in the first team, sold Naylor, and he's nearly fully developed in one season.

Been fighting off bids for him all summer

 

Im in the process of re-shaping my Celtic side, mainly the midfield area im looking at now.

Out: PaulHartley, Charlie Grant, Marc Crosas, Giorgios Samaras, Sandro Burki

In: James McCarthur, James McCarthy, Peter Larsson

Im still on the lookout for a striker, and ive decided to push Caldwell into the DM role occupied by Hartley/Crosas/Grant last year because his stats seem perfectly suited for it.

I sometimes play Caldwell CM with a wee "run back arrow", he just sits there

 

I've totally revamped the squad, and ditched pretty much all of last seasons midfielders in favour of some more technically skilled players - because it suits the passing game im trying to play.

This is reflected in the amount of money ive spent (£23m!). I never spend a lot of money but i needed practically a new midfield.

Ok, so here is a screenie of the transfers i have made.



Peter Larsson is a very strong looking defender, basically bought as a replacement for Caldwell - so i can push him into the DM role.

McCarthur and McCarthy are decent technical players with good creativity.

D'Alessandro speaks for himself, technically good player and im hoping he will work well in there with Naka.

Parejo is 'The Next Guti' apparently. Whether thats good or bad im not so sure but he is a young player with stats in all the right places.

Zaluska is a replacement for Mark Brown (who im selling).

Ferrie Bodde from Swansea. I was putting in the stats i was looking for in a DM and he popped up - and he has great technical stats as well so he could be very handy.

Nilmar is my big hope, which is reflected in the hefty price tag. Great pace, dribbling, finishing and off the ball stats so he suits the role.

 

Brown for £2.3M? I got £9M for him

 

Yeah but it was + 50% profit so it softened the blow. Although it is a * price he really didnt fit with my team

 

Anyone know if Parejo ever "makes it"? I've noticed him looking well in past games but never got a chance to sign him as he wouldn't come to a * ex-Championship side.

Now I'm Parma I'll have a good chance to get him at the end of the first season. Also how does Lewendowski turn out? Finishing 15 at the mo and the rest of his stats aren't any better :/

A CHALLENGE:

OK, I'm bored right now with FM 09. I've tried different teams - I hate NOT being Celtic. I've done the Old Firm in the Premier - that was fun for a while. I've dominated Scotland and regularly gone Final 8 in Europe with Celtic. I was thinking today as I was driving home from a meeting about being Celtic but with a few serious twists with the Data Editor.

Here's my thoughts and where you can help.
1. None of the regular 11 will remain.
2. All of those that SHOULD be gone will be gone. Balde etc.
3. New players brought in... but I want to be realistic and not just put together a WORLD XI team from FIFA.

So, who would you like to see on the NEW HOOPS? I am going to let you pick my team. Just reply who you would like brought in - and who they should be brought in for. For example... KEVIN DOYLE - JVH

Here's my Parejo in my 4th season. Signed him at the start of the game for 700k and then sent him on loan to Livingston for a season. After that he's been in a regular squad rotation, very handy.
