What does the FMRTE do? Can I add leagues etc half way through a game?

    1st August 2009

Celtic board are after increasing my budget by €18.5M to €25.5M.

I've sold a few squad and reserve players to sign Marquinhos for the right side of my midfield.

    Code:
                     Boruc

    Caddis Caldwell McManus Mathieu

    Marquinhos Brown Hartley McGeady

              Milevskyi Fletcher
I have plently of backup but were and who should be improved...

I have O'Dea & Reynolds as backup CB's but I reckon a Sakho and selling Caldwell would be a good idea. Thoughts?

Isn't Marquinhos left-footed? Just switch him and McGeady.

Right Only in my game and McGeady is in his natural position out on the left

Ever tried sticking a right footer on the left wing (like Marqhinhos) and going for:

    Long shots > Often
    Run Forward> Mixed
    Cross Ball > Rarely
    Dribble > Often

Should hopefully get a player to cut in and get some shots. I done it with Palace and T.Todorov got a rake of goals cutting in - mainly against weaker opposition though. This also may defeat the purpose of having target strikers with good heading/strength....

I'll try it out in a cup match and I'll see what happens

I have McGeady on the left but heis instructions are as follows

    Forwards Runs - Often
    Run with Ball - Often
    Long Shots - Mixed
    Through Balls - Mixed
    Cross Ball - Often

He doesnt have a good long shot stat for your setup but Daniel Aquino would be a * in that setup I reckon, excellent technique and long shots perfect for the job

Yeah i usually have my wingers cutting in and taking shots/playing through balls and it seems to work well.

I have the full-backs bombing forward on the outside just in case.

Yeah it struck me that the style i was playing was pretty similar to the one Strachan is trying to get at Celtic.

Difference is i play i different formation, and i have better players lol.

Anyone else finding it easy to sign talented players?

I just signed Opare for his release clause 450k worth alot more, Alípio for half his value (550k), not unsettled or anything and a potential 6 star regen from liverpool for 2M

you'd think that these clubs would put up more of a fight for potential stars

Yeah I agree some teams let future stars go for next to nothing probably based on their average current rating.

For example some big 4 youths are fairly easy to get if they'll come - the likes of Merida, Jack Hobbs, Fabio/Rafael aren't too hard to get early on(ish) for less than £4 million or so if you time it right.

    Signed Akinfeev for €25M (10 + 15 over 24 months)

I have 13 left but signing a few reserve players (~4M

    €9M to flog,

    N'Koulou or Leo??

I'll have a gawk at yusinsky & Ignashevich (he's good and high natural fitness so he'll age well)

    Any other suggestions??

EDIT cant find yusinsky, is he a regen??

Sorry mate, my bad indeed its "Yezerskiy" , * spelling on my behalf.

And looking at it due to to Ignashevich's great mental stats i'd probably buy him

Then again jorge andrade is worth a punt at £2 million (though he is injured for the whole first season which is why)

N'Koulou deal fell through because I would have to loan him to another club in the meantime, I'm going to wait until January and sign someone then.

I was about to get him for €3M, wonder why he's so cheap this time round....

Starting a new game, I learned alot in the last one about regens, coaching and assistants tactics mid game. Signed Mathieu and Milevskyi, offers for Skjedlbrd (whatever his name is) and Lewandowki on the table. I just cant help meself.

Got skejdlebred (old whats his face) Fletcher and Ishchenko aswell, anyone know the best way to develop Misun? Loan or tutor?
