This debate has nothing to do with the green brigade, poppys or anything else its about the chairman of Celtic FC.

It seems to be you feed the bear, who is trying to exert a political agenda.

Judging by your location thats no big surprise to me !!

You are * bang out of order and you know it. Retract that statement and I'll let it go!

This whole thread idea came about as a direct result of the poppy wearing incident as until there hardly anyone on this board had any doubts about John Reid's suitability as Chairman of the club and if anything some of the same people who would now like to see him ousted supported him over the statements he made regarding the famine song.

It sounded racist, judging someone because of their location.

    I wasnt judging by location.

But I wont have the likes of feed the bear thinking he can speak for the "majority" of celtic fans. The "majority" of Celtic fans dont even recognise Isreal as a country, and wonder why we have to go there to play a "European" tie.

This thread was turned into some sort of us against them thing by feed the bear as usual. I am not in the Green Brigade, I dont even know anyone who is. Neither does my entire supporters club, which is 73 members strong.

I am leaving this thread as I have made my point about John Reid.

I dont see why the GB are protesting the poppy thing.

The poppy represents us giving respect to all the men who fought and died for our freedom. We should respect these men regardless of religions/beliefs as they put all of their differences aside at that time and fought bravely against a powerful oppressor.

Is this not how everyone feels about this issue? or are we all blinded by bigotry?

Edit: Had the GB not walked out this thread would not exist. I believe that the bannings were definately over the top. But i also believe walking out because of respecting our dead war heroes is also over the top.

Yes you were, as your previous statement so obviously states...
I'm reporting that post as it's blatantly racist and as for the second highlighted part, that obviously backs up your prejudices.

You know nothing about me and where I live yet you decided to post something which is obviously offensive and racist. Pretty disgusting actually!

The only laughable part is that you say I can't speak for the majority of Celtic fans, yet you then make the assumption that the majority of Celtic fans don't recognise Israel

Listen mate. . . if you want to chew the fat with me regarding our differing opinions I am quite happy to do so.

Start a thread in the pub, and we'll take it from there.

I object to you calling me racsist, as I dont think I referred to anyones race, or culture.

Is that your idea of a retraction?

You know exactly what you were saying and you then followed it up with a remark to Messi...
So explain then....what exactly did it mean?

Exactly where you should have started it then if you wanted to post derogatory remarks about my place of residence.

The fact you felt you had to go so low as to throw a racist remark into the discussion really was desperate and uncalled for.
