What's John Reid doing. If he tries to and does bring politics into the ground, then why can't we.

Exactly * off if you want to protest at parkhead if you want to protest at something that has absolutely nothing to do with football.

Yes, I know the boy, not properly, but I know who he is because I see him in 111 quite a bit. Another 16 year old boy, who we call Lisboa, who was in that area had his bag searched and they found nothing. They then asked him to go onto the concourse so they could seach away from other fans, he told them to * off and walked out.

Another good mate Danny was the one ejected for the two stick, and I saw another guy have his four provinces flag taken off him. Funny how people waving tri-colours in oher parts of the ground had nothnig done to them, only guys in area 110-112...

You are talking complete sense mate. I am totally and utterly disgusted by this * and i'am sure Reid is a happy man to see "Rebels" so unhappy with their own club. I for one feel very different about Celtic as it is now. We need some massive changes before we turn into the second hun club in Glasgow and the first change should be GET REID TAE *!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:31::47:

I don't know what you think but I don't think it has anything to do with JR or the board rather there's been a growing momentum for change in recent years. People have been complaining for years now about a number of issues i.e linking us to Irish Republicanism through the songs etc and they're just tired of all that and want to clean up our clubs image.

The problem today showed that there is a divide in the sense that by and large we view things differently. The fact that almost 58000 people applauded and didn't leave the stadium couldn't have made that any clearer.

58,000? Well attendace was given at 56,000, and I'd say one of the reasons it was four thousand short was due to this whole carry-on.

Anyway, cleaning up our clubs image, I saw a 13 yeard old boy today having his tri-colour confiscated and his details, including season ticket info taken because it was an un-official flag and not bought from the club. If trying to make us forget our roots is called cleaning up our image, then so be it.

Ok I stand corrected 56000 it was but to be honest we're generally a few thousand short in any given week unless it's a big match. Lets be honest peeps do other things on a saturday.........It's not always full to capacity like it is for the champions league.

I can't speak for the wee boy but as to forgetting our roots I think that you're the one doing that. CFC was set up by Brother Walfrid et,al to put food on the tables of the poor people of the east end of Glasgow...the fact that the population was predominantly Irish doesn't exclude the fact there were also many more of different creed and colour who were part of that population. Yes we can relate strongly to the Irish people (most of us have Irish blood) but we are a Scottish club and Scotland has it's own proud traditions.

Scroll up a few posts and you'll see the guy with the tri-colur posting on here, his name's greenwhiteandgold. I, along with dozens of other people saw iut ad we were all astounded. I think it was more to do with the fact it was area 111 than it being a tri-colour, but thatsthe excuse the stewards gave, nd when pointed out there was one flying on top of the North stand, they said it was their superiors decision, not theirs.

As i've already stated I think and am astounded at why the GB is trying to embarass the club.

    Good post mate.
Why should we accept their politics if they can't accept ours?

It's not ust the GB, the GB are 30-40 guys who organize displays, make banners etc. This protest/walkout wasnt their idea, JR and the PLC must be happy that eveyone is blaming the GB, there was around a thousand people who walked, don't go blaming the GB.

I'm astounded at the direction JR in which JR is trying to take our club, with no room for politics in CP unless it's politics he agrees with.

It was the GB handing out the leaflets today. They're all a bunch of fuds imo. Go and protest somewhere else but not at parkhead , but they're all elitist and think they're better fans so they'll do it anyway :31: It's a disgrace.

Don't make statements like that without knowing the facts. There were dozens of guys handing out the leaflets, most were ordianry volunteers and the handing out of the leaflets was organised by TAL agazine.

Well if JR's bringing the politics into CP, where else are we menat to protet about these politics being brought into CP. And how the * are the GB elitist... get your facts right...
