Was just thinking there i,m 30 and already settled down with the missus ,wean and mortgage .However i seem to be the only one out of about 11 close mates about my age
I,ve also noticed that when i pick the wee man up from nursery i,m the youngest there and we are also the youngest family in our street.

This brings me to the question at what age do you think folk should be settling down and doing the family thing?

27- 29.5 is the right age marrying age for guys. 25 - 39 for women.

Parenthood within 2.5 years, maybe 4 is right too.

I got married when I was 29, I think. tbh, parents of 6 year olds I know here are any age between 28 and 50, though mostly towards the lower end of the scale.

Sounds to me like you've got the train on schedule FancyPants. You sould start with he lego soon. And Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank engine too, but not the film wi Alec Baldwin in it. ANd not Barney the friggin dinosaur either..

But the lego is great for dexterity and coordination.

That's my advice anyway as an expert parent.

Forgot to mention i've got 2 boys and wouldn't mind anotrher tbh. Fatherhood's great. You get to relive your childhood and play wi toys and stuff. And walk the dog 3 times a day mind you. Still, best job in the world.

Ask me in ten years again when they're teenagers...

I reckon your best settling down around the 30 mark aye, i'll probably go out and * my wages up a wall for another 3 or 4 years and then hopefully calm my jets.

I do not think there is a right or wrong age to be honest. You will know yourself when you are ready to settle down in my opinion.

Dont think their is a right or wrong age to settle down. Once you find the right person for you, why not? no matter what age.

My sister in-lwa has just found Mr.Rght at the age of 44, despite me telling her she was outside the ideal age bracket.

You never know. Sometimes you just know. Love is always in the air. I think, personally, it's the quarks. Higgs Bosuns could never make you feel that way...

    I got married at 25

    1st child at 23

    2nd child at 26

Best to have kids early cos by the time they have grown up and flown the nest, all your other mates will be tied down and wont have the freedem later in life that you will.

A few of my mates are just starting to have kids and mine are 9 and 6 already.

I'm 26 but more and more I'm coming round to the idea of taking the foot off the gas and finding a burd I'll wanna spend the rest of my life with.
Goin out and getting *-faced doesn't have the same appeal as it did 2 years ago, though I still like a session.
I'll definitely be taking it a lot easier after 30, wanna be fit for the weans if/when they come along.

I reckon about 30 sounds good, I got married when I was 20, had my son when I was 22, wouldn't change for the world but I think I was really too young.

Two of my brothers settled down in their mid 30's, one is 39 and has two kids ages 6 & 3 and the other who is 37 has one at a year old.
