Based on that first half alone, could see how much his style of football was choking us. A lot more freedom to play tonight so far...

Says a lot that a striker he froze out, did more in a cameo tonight, than our starters under him before he went.

Summer window was still a shambles but I think that tonight proves beyond a doubt that he wasn't getting anywhere near the best out of what he have, shape and negative tactics absolutely coaching the life out of these players, tell me we don't set up to actually attack like this against a team kairat's level and don't beat them comfortably over two legs.

You get the distinct feeling that Rodgers team selections were partly to spite the board, players were never given a proper chance.

Careful now, the Brendan cheerleaders will be in soon to tell you he's the best manager we could ever hope for.

Rodgers battle with the Board became a distraction that took away from the basics of his job which was to get the best out of the players at his disposal.

Im not "delighted" hes gone. More relieved that hes gone and its now done with.

I genuinely feared that given the circumstances with protests, the board mightve buckled and gave him a new contract with a hefty transfer budget. That couldve set us back years. More years on top those Desmond has cost us.

But your post is right on the money for me.

Different club, same Rodgers. He should quite literally only sign two year contracts and punt himself out as a temporary fix for clubs.

As you say, its * bizarre to me how readily people make excuses for his pattern of disintegration at clubs.

There was definitely an element of that that was obvious as *, despite me backing Rodgers in this saga..

Aye. I backed him and still think he was * over by them but there's no denying it became petty and childish (on both sides) by the end.

In all honesty even I feel a bit refreshed now he's gone as it had gotten stale. So * knows how the players feel.

    Listening to Martin’s interviews

You realise how dull and unfunny Brendan was in his interviews

Undoubtably a weight lifted off everyone’s shoulders tonight. The fact all of us fans were screaming out for the tweaks that were made tonight suggests Rodgers himself would’ve also seen it but was just too stubborn/had checked out so much so he actually wasn’t worried a * to make the changes.

Tonight has proved that ultimately it was the right outcome for both parties but it doesn’t change much in the way of the bigger issues within the club just now.

It’s clear the board members and DD are going nowhere so we can only hope this whole thing has lit a bit of torch paper within the boardroom and they somehow start running the club properly again now that this ugly, cringey civil war within has ended.

We allowed to say we're well shot of Rodgers now without being accused of 'backing the board'?

There’s starting to be a shift from sympathy to the situation Brendan was in, to it was all his fault

we need to not loose sight of the fact that whatever anyone thinks of him, he was just trying to call out those at the top who continually hold us back

They will be desperate to change the narrative to, see we told you it wasn’t us it was that horrible Brendan fella
We can’t allow the situation to slip back again or in 5 years time we will still be exactly the same
Battling with Rangers, no progression in Europe, minimal investment in the ground and match day experience
