This is my feeling too... For the optimistic, it might finish 1-0...

Not confident, but thurdays result could have an effect on how our players approach this but to be honest every game seems the same as the last one (*)so i have my doubts about sunday.

Rodgers says he has to find solutions. Won't hold my breathe and fully expect the 433 to remain in place.

Hearts will score from at least one set piece

I don’t expect us to get anything from this game. Hearts have a great opportunity to go 8 points clear and they will be right up for it. I expect another one paced, robotic display of crab football from us.

  7. Can’t wait to watch 5ft 5 Cammy Devlin look like an absolute powerhouse compared to our pathetic midfield.

Their winger Alexandros Kyziridis has four assists in the Premiership this season - more than any other player.

If we had him he'd be starting for us with Tounetki on the right.

Although that Braga seems to get more hype, the greek guy looks better, he'll probably torture Ralston.

Im not against them pumping us if they play well, would be refreshing to see a team like them come out and run over the top of us and wipe the floor with us which is what we deserve mainly for the board leaving us * player wise.

Would also be more exciting for me to have to come back against them from 8 points behind them, beating them and being 2 behind just makes the season even worse knowing you are utter * but still really too good where as the pressure of being 8 behind and that does make it interesting while we are playing pish. Least if we came back and won the League it would be more of a show.

That Braga is some player too, scores some great goals and has uncanny positional sense.
My feeling is, if Heart beat us, then the league is gone, I just don't see us being able to mount a comeback from eight points behind under Rodgers now.

A part of me still hopes he changes from his rigid 4-3-3 system to a 4-2-3-1, and brings Yamada back, but is is just a sliver of hope.

The wheels could come off Hearts at any point as well though, they're not that great a team.

Their new players come the 2nd round of games people will know more about as nobody had ever seen or heard of them, next time they play they'll be well known so they'll have teams to play against 3 more times knowing how they play and what their players are like.

In reality it would be surpring if Hearts got more than 80 points. We'd need to be utter dreadful which we are to be fair to get less than 80 points.

Just imagine Hearts for example post split having to win at say Celtic Park, Easter Road and Pittodrie and beat the huns and Dundee Utd at home, they might not win a game.

They've got the momentum and that takes some stopping once it gets going in football, and Derek McInnes is getting a right tune out of them, and of course they have got penalty king and box predator Lawrence Shankland, I don't see them fading at all. They took a 4,000 travelling support to Kilmarnock at the weekend and that will grow. And you can imagine Tony Bloom will inject more transfer money into McInnes's warchest in January.

Momentum for 8 games though, not 25 games or 30.

The split is still miles away imagine them even 5 points clear of us going into the split, you'd never really trust them to win the League.

The last 20 year the most points they've had in the League are 74, 68, 61 and 61. So even their best season which was 20 year ago they probably need to get 10% more points than they did then minimum just to have half a chance. Probably 20% more points than their best season to have a good chance.

They have 19 goals in eight league games. How many goals have we scored recently ? They have also had the highest number of goal attempts, the most on target and the highest conversion rate. They have found the net at least once in all eight league games - more than any other team in the Premiership this season.

    That's some going.

We are struggling even to score a goal under Rodgers just now, so where will we be, going into the split ?.

But it is Hearts we are talking about, they are doing well for Hearts it's not Club Brugge or PSV we're up against. They're really unlikely to even win 25 League games this season even starting now from 7 with 30 games to go.

They are actually lucky to have as many points as they do, they scored winners against Dundee Utd, Hibs and Livingston in the 90th minute and came from 3-0 down at home to Motherwell to scrape a draw. They could easily have dropped 7 more points than they have in those 4 games which is half their League games.

Compare that to us we've only really been lucky once which was the Kilmarnock game to win but it's probably balanced out by the Hibs game which we should have won and were quite unlucky not to.

This is not any ordinary Hearts but, they have got the McInnes & Bloom combination going for them. If McInnes sniffs he can win the league, he will go all out for it, it could conceivably give him the platform to get a job in the EPL.

    I don't underestimate anybody.

What about this Danny Rohl the new Ranger's manager ? Know anything about him ? I heard he is a good manager and knows his stuff ?

What if Rohl gets them going, and starts hunting both of us down ?. If we lose on Sunday, and they win, they will be only 5 points behind us, with still three Derby league games to come.

Our board should look at Tony Bloom and hang their heads in shame. Here's a guy who wants to invest in improving the club where it matters - on the field. I detest the diets but I have to give them credit for getting their house in order while we have been landed with a bunch of rich tory arseholes who don't give a * about the footballing side of the club

    You are right @Wee Baldy.

The Board royally screwed us over in the summer, while Bloom has poured big money and all the might of his data analytics assets into putting Hearts at the top of the table, and more importantly, he is prepared to inject even more top dollar into Hearts in January, because he believes Hearts can win the league.

Belief is a big driving force in football - while we seem to have hit the footballing doldrums, with a manager who has lost the place.

I would say even on form on the back of a thurs euro game it's a tough place to get a result...now even more so. Expecting a draw
