It can be two things, not one or the other. The board are rightly getting it tight for the mismanagement, transfer window, state of the stadium and plenty other things, but at the same time, Rodgers needs to seriously get the finger out.

that squad, despite the issues, should be coasting 75% of our games. It’s his job to get them performing and motivated. We look lacklustre, toothless and out of ideas. That’s what he’s paid a fortune for.

so aye, the board are chancers and deserve the * they’re getting but Rodgers absolutely needs to be much better.

He has totally checked out and has done most of this season including preseason.

When we rocked up doing the exact same
Stuff in preseason with no tweaks the writing was on the wall. Compare that to
    the US tour last year.

To me he is part of the problem along with those running the club and some of the senior players at the club. There is no freshness, desire or any proper application from this team. It’s a mix of players that are well below the level, players who have checked out and guys who are past it.

I agree but see if you look at everywhere he has been in his career his third season has been a disaster.

    - He often falls out with the hierarchy of the club.
    - they stop giving him proper funding as he is terrible in the transfer market.
    - teams suss out his rigid playing style and he fails to adapt
    - results fall off a cliff.

See Liverpool, Celtic, Leicester and now Celtic again. Our Board needs chased but Rodgers is 100% playing to type. He also often leaves with squads in worse shape than he inherits and overloaded with expensive flops.

The only way this ends well for us is if he stumbles across a combination of players that clicks. At the moment we are literally all over the place.

It’s difficult to actually judge him properly this season though, because he has been totally shafted by the board. Just like he was first time round with us. Leicester were downsizing all the time as well when he was there, and in the end, the squad was pish for EPL standards.

it’s a good point but then you work with best you can and adapt your style and tactics to suit , Rodger’s is being stubborn and it’s affecting results ,

Anyone can see that we are crying out for 4231 and have the players to play this but he continues with 433 , the midfield 3 of Engels McGregor Nygren would do well in a 4231, would also allow us to keep the width with the fullbacks and the 2 6s covering as they go forward.

With the current tactics we are losing space due to cramming into the middle of the park playing 5 yards passes and not getting up the park quick enough due to having to keep going side to side. If we play 4231 then the two wingers/IF can utilise the space between the opposition midfield and defence. If we played ntgrn as the wide right IF/winger then could use hatate as the AM but think hatate needs a spell on the bench.

it’s not hard and with a so called world class manger I can only think it’s stubbornness that is stopping him from changing things up

It briefly got better in his 3rd season the last time due to an injury crisis in midfield and he had to bring Christie in from the cold and play McGregor as a 6 to cover Brown. He kind of stumbled onto that then it may take something similar bcoz he has serious blind spot to that midfield 3.

Can't remember if it was on here or twitter, but read someone saying before the second leg against kairat, the * transfer window has tied one hand behind his back and now he'll put the other one in his pocket out of ego/spite. That's honestly what it looks like now, he's not bothering his *, good players have regressed massively under him being trained to play negative constantly passing backwards, benched multi million players, binned new signings out the squad completely, almost like he's trying to get sacked.

The honda comment is embarrasing, we're miles above dundee in resources, it's pretty much admitting he needs a huge gap of individual talent to win here now, because everyone in the league has his gameplan sorted, like we've been saying since the league cup final against the huns last season, and he's still persisting with the same against them and the cup against aberdeen.

The few acting like this is a sudden downturn after a bad summer window are off their head. Rodgers is done.

I said earlier that he's lost the confidence of the players. They dont believe in what hes doing anymore.

Now he's publicly called them a "honda civic".

    * me.

Many players could be going into training the next day thinking "this * thinks he can blame us for his * tactics? Gtf pal." Its done. Its not even November and this season is looking * tanked.

I would be all for him getting his marching orders right this moment. If we had a single * option for his replacement. Or even a board who werent a bunch if incompetent spineless *.

    We dont have either.

Out of all the realistic options ( we're not getting Xavi or Motta), theres sweet * all left.

    Potter? O Neil? Carrick?

The likes of Marco Rose would require significant investment; not happening.

The club would never say yes to a cut of transfer fees for Knutsen. Nor the fee to get him from Bodo.

We're just going to have to dig in and take it. Neither Rodgers nor this board are going anywhere for the time being.

This is some Game of Thrones * right here. Fans, manager, board, players all at war with eachother. It doesn't get fixed easily or quickly.

Buckle up bhoys and ghirls. Its going to get alot worse before it gets better.

Absolute little weasel for that Honda civic comment, no wonder he can't motivate the players.

Self-preservation and excuses. The only person brendan has and ever will care about is himself and his ego.

He was losing races against Honda civics when he had a ferrari last season. We've been * for 8 months.

If I was a player, I’d have personally bought a Honda Civic and would drive it into training this morning..*

He needs gone but the problem is that the board won't have the balls to sack him at this moment.

If there ever was a season i just want to end quick it is this one.

What worries me is that it is always the same with BR. He probably get so frustrated with himself that he know he can't spot a player if his life depended on it and he just chucks it in his 3rd season when the players he have relied on burns out.

Changing the midfield is still going to have us playing with the worst attacking options I can recall. I’m not saying we shouldn’t change up the midfield, but our biggest problem is the options we have in the final third are dire.

Would any Celtic manager survive being 8pts behind Hearts by Halloween?

That's where I'm at now. I could be wrong about them and McInnes' but I don't think they have the bottle to go the distance so I'm now thinking id take a defeat next week if it ment him getting "emptied". As I'd still be confident of a new manager catching Hearts, even with an 8pt lead.

We've seen this story before. Unfortunately the board don't have the balls to sack him. Hopefully he gets an offer he cant refuse soon and leaves. In a demented way, I actually hope the wheels completely fly off us (if they haven't already) so we can add even more pressure to the board.

    Don't have the balls?

I think it's more they don't have the stomach to pay someone off.

Those tight * would * hate having to do that
