A manager with balls would make some big calls here.

Drop Schmeichel. Drop McGregor. Get Maeda to *. Drop Tierney.

The squad is a * disaster right now but those 4 dropping out would be a welcome sight.

If Motherwell play even half as good as they did against the huns earlier in the season then I dont see us winning.

I watched a bit of them against Aberdeen at the weekend the last 30 minutes or so and they battered Aberdeen, that Charles-Cook who was at Ross County 3 year ago or that and played well against us was great for them, was all over the place taking the game to Aberdeen.

He could rip the pish out us thats how bad it is.

Motherwell have been playing some excellent stuff. Probably some of the best in the League without getting the results.

    This will be a slog.

That looks a good team and preferred formation to me too. I will go with that.
    It's worth a try.

Edit. Replace Schemeichel with Sinisalo, Nygren with Shin.

After tonight it's obvious we haven't ever played or prepared for a back 3.

That performance tonight in that shape was as bad as I've seen us at the back.

Schmeichel needs benched, and McCowan needs started.

Well I've already ruined a couple of hours of my holiday watching that gash last night so I'll be skipping this and soaking up the sun instead.

Hope those of you who do watch do get some entertainment from it.

It will be interesting to see if the penny has dropped with Rodgers. Moving to a back 3 was significant as it's the first time since he came back where he has changed the system.

It didn't work out last night but it will be interesting to see if he tries something else.

I'd say Nygren, McGregor, Tierney, CCV and Schmeichel all need dropped from Thursday.

I'd go for something along the lines of:

    Sinisalo

    Ralston
    Trusty
    Scales
    Saracchi

    Engels
    Bernardo

    Yang
    Balikwisha
    Tounekti

    Kelechi

Just try something else. McGregor is a major issue as we are trying to play through a guy who doesn't want to take the responsibility on, I would just be interested to see how we fare if he's taken out of the team.

If Maeda is anywhere near this then Rodger’s needs binned. Wouldn’t be keen on KS playing either.

In what way? It looked to me it caused us to sit deeper and compacted the whole team, mostly into our own half, isolating whatever options we had. That let Braga play the ball easily around us.

Wasn't clear to me why we did it either as didn't seem to help us in an attacking or defensive way.

Ironically the fact we’re playing a team that plays football will suit us, I think we’ll win comfortably.

Schmeichel SHOULD (but probably won’t) be dropped. He cost us a goal and was very poor all game with him passing and distribution. He has made a few high profile errors in the short time he’s been here and I don’t think he is as reliable anymore. We need to drop him and give Sinasalo a proper run so we can decide on what options to take at the end of the season.

CCV and McGregor were also particularly bad last night. Particularly McGregor who has been * since the season started. Again both should be dropped but probably won’t happen.
Murray didn’t cover himself in glory either by taking an eternity to clear the ball that led to their 2nd. Nygren and Tierney (at left back) was also poor again.

Also Maeda who obviously doesn’t give a * anymore.

So I would drop all these *.

    I would go for:

    Sinasalo
    Donovan Trusty Scales Saracchi
    Bernardo
    Engels McCowan
    Yang Iheanacho Tounetki

    But Brendan will (probably) go:
    Schmeichel
    Ralston Carter-Vickers Scales Tierney
    McGregor
    Nygren Hatate
    Maeda Iheanacho Tounetki

    Therefore I predict a 0-0.

Names out a hat for the starting XI.

On current form this season the only players deserving of a start are Scales, CCV, Tounekti and probably Iheanacho.
