Sebastian Tounekti

Was not convinced about this signing. When I watched him earlier in the year, you could see his pace and technical abilities, but lacking the end product. Seeing him today made me realize that he will be a great signing for us. The space he will get in Celtic, and in this league will benefit him a lot, and can actually see him getting both goals and assists. Something he rather lacked in the Swedish league (where he did not get the space against more even opposition). If he gets the goals, he will be a £20 million+ player come next year or so.

 

This boy and Jota when he's back is ridiculous depth (obviously presuming they're both on form).

 

There was also another impressive debut as Sebastian Tounekti made his first appearance for Celtic, and the Tunisian internationalist was superb throughout the match down the left flank.

Describing his as a classic ‘Celtic winger, Brendan Rodgers said: “He’s good in the one-v-one, he wants to take people on, he’s aggressive, he works hard and he was unbelievable today.

“And that was a little bit of what I said at half-time, we had to feed him more because you could see early on that he’s going to be the match winner. He’s got speed and he can run in behind, and I was so pleased for him.

He looks unplayable on that left wing, a fantastic debut.

A massive upgrade on Palma.

 

Had a wee give and go with Saracchi 2nd half were if Saracchi cuts it back to him he's in a cracking position to get a shot away and possibly score.
Saracchi went across the goal but hit side netting.

Hopefully once there's a better understanding it's something we see come off more

 

Very impressive, maybe a slight concern with his final decision making which was supposedly a problem for him going by reports, but looked on the front foot.

Outwith the goal he was pretty good. We've missed a winger being direct and going at the fullback.

 

Very good debut and a lot to be excited about. So positive every time he got the ball. Gliding past the full back with ease time and time again.

 

I still think Balikwisha will turn good. Need to keep starting him

True mate. Can't wait to see him on the grass pitches. Early days but we look to have struck gold with him.

 

Some players you see and know.
Some you know has it. Some you know don't.
Some players can take time and opinions can change.

Tounekti looks a player though. Comfortable with the ball, willing to face his man and get to good spaces.
Has confidence and ability on the ball.

It's early days for sure, maybe he stood out in a poor team, but I'm willing to go out and say he's gonna be a decent player for us at least, with potential to do very well.

Our best player today I thought. Looked sharp and hungry.

 

Id be tempted to try him on the right.

Think Balikwisha might be better on the left or once Iheanacho is fully fit it would mean getting Maeda back to his natural position.

 

Looked like Jota 2.0 today.

Probably not as technical but seems a bit stronger and pacier. If we can add a similar profile of right winger, we will score goals.
