What are McGregor and Hatate offering to be guaranteed starters every game?

None of that midfield 3 should be difficult to upgrade on.

Hatate pulls a performance out once in a blue moon. McGregor is on the severe decline. And Nygren…I don’t even know.

He’ll get goals and create some chances, but something is off.

    McGregor is done.

People have been talking about if he's still got the legs for Europe he's barely scrapping by in Spfl

All 3 should be dropped after today, pathetic showing and slowing our whole play down. Rodgers needs to grow a set and drop them.

  6. It just doesn't work..

There is serious problems in that engine room. Can't even call it much of an engine either as it's slow as *..

Bernardo I don't rate is totally bombed out and our highest ever spend couldn't even get off the bench..

Another area that needed addressing and is now stale, slow, weak and unimaginative..

I dont think the midfield works with Hatate and Nygren tbh.

Both seem to take up the same space and get in the way of each other, I think it has to be one or the other.

Need to start easing one of Engels or Bernardo back into the team.

Not helped by him continually playing the 2 8s on their weeker side. 1st touch is always inside the pitch to get back on their stonger foot.

It should have been a priority in the window but we seen how that went.

I get McGregor plays because he is captain and for some unknown reason seems to be viewed as our only holding mid but for the life of me I don't understand why Hatate started today. Engels was our best CM at Ibrox (not saying much) and McCowan has always looked a threat when he plays

It’s *. Would happily see them all out the team and start McCowan, Engels and Bernardo.

We seem to have a collection of 'ok' but wildly inconsistent midfielders. Each of them blow hot and cold. Hatate and Nygren looked poor today, Id prefer we give Engels a run. Hes the one I have most faith in being able to improve to a point where he can start week in week out. The rest seem destined to be look great 1/5, ok 2/5 and a bit * 2/5. Not a good enough ratio

Would think there is a good chance we see both and probably Engels as well next week in the League Cup.

I would like to see McCowan and Engels/Bernardo start instead of Hatate and Nygren. They need to know that they're not undroppable

    It's so unbalanced.

Will get shown up in Europe this year. Again. We badly need someone with more of a passing range and ability to tackle in there. Amount of 50/50s or cheap fouls we give away is mad.

2 occasions in the 2nd half that 7ft striker completely ran off the back of McGregor and has a free run at Scales.
If McGregor can't see * that size running off the back of him what chance of him spotting better players doing it

I suppose the positive is im no longer * off at us not getting Dolberg or similar in during the window bcoz with all the slow side to side or backwards passes our midfield make it wouldnt matter if we had Erling Haaland up front.

Something really not right with Hatate. Just can't do anything right at all. Mind he used to have some dig on him? Feel like we don't see that at all anymore

  19. See that Watson, I'm no saying get him in but some of his attributes are what's missing in our midfield..

That all action legs, bite and will to get on to things..

We need someone like that but who's maybe better on the ball. It's so one paced and the gaps are too big between McGregor and the two eights..

Thought McCowan would have been that for us when he signed bit he's not got the legs as you say or the strength. He's got a role to play of course but just how you described that Watson boy reminded me what I expected fae McCowan.
