Hayato Inamura

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Notorious, Jul 4, 2025.

  1. “Wouldn’t put him in against Lamine yamal”…..

nae bother Brodge. There’s absolutely zero chance of any of our players playing him now so :56:

Hope some * brings this up when asking him why Inamura is being loaned out now we won’t be facing the level of opposition he supposedly can’t handle.

  2. Absolutely baffling why this lad is going out on loan.

Brendan has a huge ego problem with so called 'club signings' - Trusty, Lagerbielke, Nawrocki etc etc.

  3. His opinion on this lad is based on a perception he had of him prior to even clapping eyes on him.

If anyone, not just Rodgers, can’t see huge potential in Inamura then they are clueless. He might be poor defensively, we’ve yet to see, but he has excellent use of the ball.

  4. I just feel for the sorry for the guy.

Imagine getting your big move, hardly putting a foot wrong for your new club (even looking somewhat impressive at times) and the response from your new manager is to:

    • Downplay your performances in pre-season, including lies of omission or obfuscation about the standard of opposition you performed against.

    • Publicly imply that you’re not very good and aren’t ready to play against an unremarkable side from Kazakhstan (look how well that’s aged)- bonus points for the justification being a hypothetical where you couldn’t match up to one of the best players in the world and arguably football’s next superstar.

    • Backhanded compliments after your competitive debut that effectively boil down to him telling folks you’ll look good against diddy teams.

Does anyone genuinely believe this is good man management; or a justifiable way to talk about a signing who’s yet to have a bad game? It’s like he’s desperate for him to have a * performance so he can do an “I told you so”.

I don’t doubt that it’s mostly political nonsense born from his frustrations with the charlatans running our club, but it’s no less embarrassing (or any sort of justification) to see a manager taking it out on the player themself. People have joked about it, but if Rodgers had personally scouted/identified/signed a random player from England and they performed like Inamura, you can guarantee that he’d be singing his praises from the rooftops.

  6. rodgers would have you believe that there is some sort of higher level you have to reach before you can get a game ,all the while playing yang

  7. This will be good for him. Everyone needs to be kicked for a year and learn to toe punt the ball up the field.

In all seriousness please send him to a team that tries to play football.

Rodgers judging players with out a chance for epl and championship drops is why I will always have a sour taste in my mouth on Rodgers time here

Regardless of leaving half way through a season

  8. With Tierney only able to play 60 mins, and probably not all games he'd get plenty of game time here. Feels pretty mental to be loaning him out given the circumstances.

  9. Get him loaned out so Rodgers can move on to slating our other Japanese signing

  10. More nonsense.

  11. To be fair, inamura surprised me with his performances and can really find a good pass. That being said, he hasn't really been tested defensively yet. Rodgers see's him everyday in training - for all we know yang is running circles around him!?

I trust Rodgers judgement on this one. Get the young man on loan, let's rate his defensive game for others before we go popping him into fixtures where his defensive side might be test with a bad outcome.

As much as we should have comfortably beat kairat, it wasn't down to conceding goals we got put out

  12. Letting inamura go on loan is infuriating. Rodgers is a *

  13. This is my thoughts exactly mate. Rodgers will never be a club legend to me cos of his sheer arrogance regarding the English game. Which we as a whole league time and time again have evidently seen it’s not as good as they make out

  14. Mate, Inamura has played Newcastle, Ajax and Al ahli. 3 teams he won’t play anyone better than this season.

Rodgers consistently picks idah when he warrants no starting XI start. I do not trust a single thing Rodgers does team wise.

this whole Inamura thing is purely political and trying to prove a point.

Weirdest bit too is the one position we can afford a drop in quality is KT as we know he’ll play 60 mins every game from the start.

I genuinely (and also I feel this is slowly being proven) feel that Rodgers is so butthurt that the club didn’t offer Taylor a deal he’d be happy with to keep him. That now, Rodgers is in full destruction mode for that position that he won’t be happy with anything else.

how the * do we then turn to a player that hasn’t played 90 mins since February? Absolutely disgusting to Inamura. Genuinely for his sake hope some team sees the prospect for him and buys him for 500k

  16. I could list 30 players here who’ve done well there and dogshit here. But first and foremost….idah.

    Rodgers man. English leagues.

yet Inamura who we’ve all seen has quality against everyone he’s played…..because he didn’t come from a league Rodgers knew and viewed as a “quality” league he wrote off before he saw him.

as my response…. Rodgers absolute arrogance for the English leagues is the death of him.

  17. Because Rodgers prefers to sign players from the places he knows, like the English Leagues, we are to forget the fact he’s won 11 trophies out of a possible 13?

The same players who have all contributed to us winning so many trophies under him.

  18. I didn’t disregard what he’s won. I just said personally for myself he’ll never be a club legend.

its opinion. And the one thing that irks me the most is his stubbornness to only believe in quality for players “from places he knows”. Which has evidently been to his detriment this time round.

the club backed Ange successfully and we had no issues in finding quality for a value that suited both.

Only now is there a huge disconnect because Rodgers wants the likes of trusty, idah and Engels who have contributed absolutely nothing this year

  19. But contributed a whole lot last year?
