It’s a game where having the first leg at home would have been a huge advantage with the crowd behind the team especially if we were going into it behind from the first leg.

We need to be right up for the first leg and give everything to take a 2 or 3 goal lead into the second game. If they can make it a tight cagey affair then and leave with a draw or narrow defeat they will be more than happy to see us arrive at their place after a 7000 mile journey into the * end of nowhere.

I would have preferred a harder tie TBH. In general, I want the playoff to be against a strong team as a kind of test of whether we are ready for the CL. We could beat these quite comfortably and still get absolutely horsed in the group stages. If we are going to have the kind of campaign that Bratislava had last year, then I'd rather be in the EL.

Of course, we will probably get players in late in the window, after the playoff and that makes what I just said wrong, as we will hopefully have a significantly stronger team for the group stage (if we qualify) than for the playoff; but in spite of that, it's still how I feel. Last year was the first time I have actually enjoyed a CL campaign in a very long time.

It's getting ridiculous when even keevins rightly calls out this board by stating Rodgers is expected, "to achieve immortality with mediocrity", our board needs hounded

They didnt win the treble though.
Finished the season beating rangers once in 90 mins.
Yang and Kenny in the cup final.
    Never replaced kyogo
    Never replaced khun
    Never repalced jota

Its a shitshow of a club and done by design of the board to show their balls are bigger than rodgers or the fans. They need gone. They are sabotaging the team and the fans are accepting it.

That 2-0 defeat came against the European powerhouse KuPS of Finland.

While we’ve had a * transfer window and are short in key areas, you’re having a * laugh if you’re claiming that we have “no chance” of getting past Kairat Almaty. No disrespect to them.

I get the impression this is another case of you wanting us to lose in order to claim “told you so”.

I would be happy to take a loss if it meant the board couldn't be in the position they are in they need chased unfortunately the football department is considered collateral in war in this occasion

We will hammer these ffs. I'm fuming at the lack of recruitment but we're a very experienced side. Abslutely no issues getting through this.

There's no doubt it's as favourable a draw we could have got, barring the long away travel. It's madness that we have left ourselves short of forwards to take advantage of the draw and make it a comfortable affair though. We should be hammering the goals past these as you say but we're relying on midfielders to score for us atm.

110% agree it should be more comfortable but I fully believe it wont be a squeaky * affair like Beer Sheva & Astana.

Because they narrowly won and had to put out a team on penalties that we skelpt last season without getting out of second gear (admittedly we were stronger last season). I think we're right to feel confident.

The hope is that wee take a good few off them at CP then try run the game down with as few injuries as possible over there.

Not ideal to be travelling that far obviously given the fixtures around then … however we should be pumping that Russell Martin team at Ibrox, the way they set up is made for us to exploit.

You’ve got it * about. They are 4 hours ahead, if the ko is 8pm in Glasgow, that will be at midnight Almaty time. Game finishes at 2am Almaty time. We should be pumping them, they’ll get tired quickly.

The return leg is played at 5.45pm, which is 1.45pm in the afternoon Glasgow time. Perfect time of day for our bhoys to carving them up.

The only worry I have is that it’s played at altitude, 3000’ might be enough for our players to struggle in a thinner atmosphere. As far as flight time goes, the players should be on a chartered flight, get an aircraft that can fly direct, it’ll be 7.30 hours max.

It’s a favorable draw and at times of the day that suit us.
