No reason for Yamada to not get some minutes, it's not like he has to get up to fitness, Inamura was put in at the first chance.

We won’t do it but I would say our best formation given the players we have at our disposal would actually be the Leipzig 4-2-2-2 shape. We don’t actually have wing options the now.

It would rely on the fullbacks for width but both Tierney and Johnston would be capable we would be pretty solid with having 4 players able to clog up the centre of the park out of possession and have Nygren and Hatate in the half spaces when
We have it.

Maeda, Yamada and Kenny or all good high energy pressers (presuming a bit with Yamada) but the other two definitely can run themselves in to the ground and press and counter press. Both can also run themselves channels and the likes of Nygren could come in centrally and split them on occasion too with one of the centre forwards dropping to his position.

I know those sort of rotations don’t happen over night but I actually think it’s the best shape for our current crop of players.
