I never watched a minute of this highly corrupt all about money * event. Surely Celtic fans in here have better things to do than add viewing figures to such an event that helps the likes of corrupt Chelsea and Plastic City to line their horrible pockets with more money. Each to their own I suppose.

Let alone the effect it will have on the players, who will have precious little time off, between last summer's Euros etc, all of last season, this * competition, a full season ahead and then a WC. And anyone was desperately in need of a football fix, there is a women's Euros happening that they could've given their attention to, especially as the governing bodies proclaim that they are trying to promote the women's game but then host an abomination like this competition, which is totally going to overshadow it needlessly.

Greed is the only word.

 

Me either joke of a tournament, I'm getting to the point that football in general has dropped down a level where it's now a handful of teams having all the best players, with the same teams playing the same teams just rotating players to each other, the games become so boring now, add in every team wanting to play like pep is just ruining it, was such a joy to watch psg this season doing it the way we want to see it

DAZN was free and I just like watching football. That’s a good enough reason to forget the politics of it and just watch it

Funnily enough tho the one main game I was busy and not able to watch at that moment was the final

also though, I’m assuming based on your opinions you don’t watch Celtic play in the champions league then?

 

That is a stretch to draw that parallel... The CL afterall is an evolution of the pre-established European Cup which has been part of the regular football season going back to the 1950s - and is older even than the European Championships that occurs every 4 years.

Obviously the money on offer now far outstrips what was offered at any time and certainly more than anyone could've predicted when it was the European Cup, but this fabrication of a competition was conjured out of thin air with no other reason. Oh, and if you think DAZN did that out of the spirit of generosity and the goodness of their hearts, then you really are gullible, and as previously noted there was/is other football going on where you could have tuned into, as you were so desperate for a fix.
