That makes sense and lot of good points mate but we ended up in a position in cup final where we finished the game with Yang and Kenny up top trying to win us the game.
I know there were a few injury issues but I think we unnecessarily left ourselves light and it bit us on the * at the worst possible time so I can't shake the concerns of that happening again.

It's not just up front either, we have 1 quality LB and 1 quality CB, unfortunately both are prone to injuries and in CCVs case he tends to get them at crucial times.

At the moment we are light and are taking a huge risk with biggest game of our season just over a month away.

And my issue is that it's not like we don't have previous of going into these games under prepared.

If we have learned our lesson and we bring in 2 or 3 quality additions by the play off, I'll hold my hands up, say I was wrong and applaud the club.

I do have that feeling of we've seen this movie before that some people have expressed, albeit I'm not panicking about it just yet. Can't blame people for recognising patterns there when it comes to our business so far.

It's also a bit ridiculous (but an intriguing debate nonetheless) people presuming one way or another if Maeda/Idah or a new signing will be starting striker. Until the window closes we could still yet sign a top striker, loan out Yamada or Osmand, sell Maeda (* forbid) and/or sign a couple of wingers.

My only gripe is that we don't seem to get players in for a full pre-season and do major business at the back end of the window. That inevitable 'settling in' period and potential upheaval of the first team lineup hampers our chances of playing out best stuff early on, particularly where the qualifier is concerned.

Would love to see the other clubs minus SEVCO do well in Europe. Hopefully you are right and the business people have seen opportunities in the league and clubs.

I feel like midfield is being ignored.

We need a top quality centre midfielder to come in. We need to be competitive in that area.

Co-effecient points are all equal across the comps but apparently each comp has it's own bonus points which increase according to the prestige of the comp. I didn't realise this until just earlier today.

Starting to get a bit embarrassing , if our transfers where going like the way ours is over at Ibrox then we would be laughing at them. Genuinely think we will end up with 2 or 3 send rate players and rodgers saying we kept the bulk of the squad that won the double , we’ve improved in the full back areas and have a stronger squad

If we were going for the players they go for I'd say every one of them would be in the door. As people have said before, it's a scoosh signing * no one else wants. We'll actually be trying to sign folk where the player has good alternative options.

Is it that stage of the window already, the huns are better run than us and we should be embarrassed? Gets here earlier every year.

    Latest sun sport transfer bulletin

THERE's been a major transfer development at Parkhead as Nicolas Kuhn has sealed his Celtic exit to join Como.

The German winger has completed his £17million move to the Italian side which leaves Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers in desperate need a replacement

Several wingers have been linked with the Scottish champions in recent weeks but the wide-man at the top of Rodgers' shortlist is believed to Antwerp star Michel-Ange Balikwisha.

SunSport understands the Hoops are also closing in on a £1.5million deal for Japanese striker Shin Yamada, while Italy Under-21 international Giuseppe Ambrosino remains high up on the agenda too.

SunSport's Gareth Law spoke to David Robson about all the latest developments regarding those transfers in the latest episode of the Go Ballistic Celtic Transfer Special.

WILL SHIN YAMADA BE A SUCCESS IN GLASGOW?
I think Yamada fits the Celtic profile. He's 25 and I think Kyogo was 26 when he came over.

I don't think he's kind of got that goal-scoring record that Kyogo did before he came over here.

Yamada had a great season last season. I think he scored 19 goals, but he’s only scored twice (in the league) this season so far.

We'll have to wait and see how he adapts. When you're coming that distance, I know Kyogo managed it, but I think it's a big ask for players to settle straight away - in a new culture, new country, learning a new languageand different style of football.

He may well come in and eventually stake his claim for a place, but I think it'd be hard for him to come in and suddenly be the player Celtic can rely on.

I think there'll be more movement in that area as well, particularly as they didn't get a replacement for Kyogo in January

    GIUESEPPE AMBROSINO
I think he would be a great signing.I have my doubts about whether it's going to happen, particularly when he's an Italian Under-21 international.

I know he's had three or four loan moves previously before this, but the whole kind of loan to buy aspect would be great, if Celtic manage to land him.

But I think that that could be a tough ask when you hear Cremonese and Cagliari are interested. There’s already been talk of bids from other clubs in Italy as well.

Again, he fits that Celtic prototype but I just wonder if if he may choose to stay in Italy.

Like we say, he's capped at Under-21 level and my feeling would be that he may want to stay in Italy.

    MICHEL-ANGE BALIKWISHA
I think there was interest in January as well (as last summer and before). They looked at him again at the tail end of last season too.

Antwerp are in Austria for a training camp at the moment and Balikwisha wasn’t training over there. It looks like he's on his way somewhere and Antwerp need money to rebuild their squad.

So again, he’s another that first Celtic’s profile with his age and clearly has bags of potential

The link isn’t going away so I would imagine that one could keep ticking along for a while. Time will tell.

YANG HYUN-JUN, MARCO TILIO AND LUIS PALMA LATEST
Tilio came in around the sort of time that Brendan Rodgers arrived at Parkhead and hasn’t really had an opportunity for whatever reason.

I would imagine he would probably go, and I think Luis Palma too.

When you speak to Brendan Rodgers about players in press conferences, he tends to talk about players wanting game time.

And generally that's tended to mean that that game time isn't going to come at Celtic

So it would probably suit both parties if they moved on and that happened with Mikey Johnston eventually.

I don't know about Yang .I think he came into things towards the end of last season.

He’s a handy squad player and I don't think he's going to be a regular starter, but he’s maybe someone Brendan Rodgers can rely on when he wants to try something a little bit different.

REO HATATE AND ARNE ENGELS' FUTURES
Well, I think Arne s will be (a Celtic player this season).

On Reo Hatate, we wrote towards the end of last season that Udinese were still looking at him.

I think his injury maybe towards the end of last season, possibly stunted things there a little bit, but I think there's genuine interest there.

I think he’s maintained that level and Celtic do look a different team when he's playing.

There's definitely a value on him in the Celtic team, and there'll be a value that Celtic will place on him.

But I think his form in Europe as well in the Champions League, I don't think that’s gone unnoticed.

So despite that injury, I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least some interest in him.

He's been too good and too consistent for a length of time now. He’s still a good age as well.

    HAYATO INAMURA LOAN EXIT?
Brendan Rodgers always talks about how Liam Scales was his kind of surprise, if you like, in how well he adapted.

We all thought Liam Scales was heading for the exit door when when Brendan Rodgers came in.

So I don't think he's a manager who says things like that (that he wasn’t going to be in his first team plans).

But then again he’s willing to have his mind changed by players and I think against Cork, Inamura might have done that, although it was only 45 minutes. Brendan Rodgers has got this unbelievable reputation for developing players.

And with that, you have to have some patience.

I think he's obviously going to try him in some more of these preseason games and we get a better feel (of where his future lies).

    STEPHEN WELSH
He’s now 25 and no longer that young player with loads of potential.

He was captain in the second hald against Queen’s Park and for at least one game last summer.

He's a dependable defender, somebody Rogers clearly can rely on, but you just wonder whether the time has come for him.

For most players at this stage the penny kind of drops about what playing every week can do for you - waking up on a Saturday morning, knowing you're going to play.

It depends what he wants from his career, but you would imagine if he wants to play games and he wants to go out and get experience that then he will leave

I wouldn't be surprised if he was still here when the window closes, but I would certainly understand his situation if he left.

WILL CELTIC SIGN A NEW CENTRE-BACK?
We still have plenty of weeks before the window closes.

When everybody's fit, Rodgers has got Trusty, Carter Vickers, Scales and throw Inamura in the mix as well. Then there’s Welsh too.

It all depends on whether he sees Inamura as somebody he's going to consider for selection this season.

Time will tell and we will have a better idea throughout pre-season.

Yang and "rely on" should not be in the same sentence.

    He has to be shifted.

That article from the S*n is hilarious. Amazing how these guys get jobs. "Ambrosino is Italian therefore I reckon he will stay in Italy". Shattering stuff. Especially when you consider its been reported IN Italy that the player would fancy a move here.

The fact they have nothing new to report suggests they've no a clue and that's despite having someone following the club around feckin Portugal.

I see the boys at transfermarkt have not been slow in adding the €s to what we paid to Kuhn for a sell on after one report.

Out of interest I looked back at Frimpong and they have failed to add the €6.5m that was to be added to that? Why not?

They also have it down as he moved for €11m to Leverkusen, he then moved to Liverpool according to them for €40m (both figures wrong) but humouring them 30% of €29m = €8.7m so total fee should be up to €19.7m but still says €11m.

So when quoting season figures, transfermarkt isn’t reliable when it comes to us. They even had Lawal sale last year listed under Celtic B so it wasn’t included in our transfer balance.

Defence still needs a lot of work. Seeing the likes of Murray etc I'd say we need min 2 CBs to come in.
